A matter of taste. His playing on "masters of war" is imo one of the best playing he brought to the table in his entire career. The vibe/sound of his guitar embodies both Bob's lyrics and the disturbing footage below. Like a bomber!

The other guitarist is Blondie Chaplin; Joel Diamond (kb); Wilbur Bascomb (b); and Eric Parker (d). This band is a particular favorite of mine of MT's various line-ups.
Indeed, all the band members are very good on an individual level as well.
Several reasons, and I think he regretted it. What a career blunder, and what a loss for the Stones.

It's been a few years, but if my memory serves...Bill Graham did not want the performance filmed or recorded in anticipation of a live album of the tour. The recorder had limited permission to film and at times had to lower the camera as if to comply with Graham's wishes. Still, a very interesting video when EC, Van and a thoroughly delighted Chrissie Hynde appear. She looks like the happiest person, ever. Taylor has a word with EC when he appears on stage.
