The preview of the Super Bowl is being played right now (Pat's vs Pack).

We shall see. Arizona not looking stellar right now. It's all about who's hot at the end...smoking smiley

Oakland's comeback (L,0-52) was a big succes yesterday after last weeks accidental triumph.
Lets hope they can stay on track for the rest of the season. Yesterdays performance should be a confidence builder for them.

Great win by the Packers over the Pats. Truly enjoyed watching Brady dropping several F-Bombs as the game was clinched by a first down. I have a very good feeling that the NFC championship will come through Titletown this year.

The two best teams in the NFC teams right now are Green Bay and Seattle.

I don't trust Sanchez as QB for Philadelphia, even though he's playing well right now. I'd never put money on Dallas. Arizona is not going anywhere without Carson Palmer. New Orleans...well, no. Then there's Detroit - - can they beat Green Bay or Seattle?

Agree those are the two best NFC teams. Hard not to. But Seattle is behind in securing a first bye and homefield, which will be a big deciding factor

Saints played possibly their best game of the season in Pittsburgh. The biggest reason they won? Jimmy Graham not getting ONE PASS.

At least as I recall how it went. Brees was able to be Brees for once in a long time.

What's up with the NY Giants? WTF!!??

I think Graham is overrated. Good TE but possibly a head case. I'd take Gronkowski over him any day.

Is there anyone you wouldn't take Gronkowski over? At least as far as tight ends go. That man is a freak (in the good sense!). Although I don't follow the NFL like I used to, Gronk is the only TE I can even think of right now. Is Jason Whitten still playing? I was a fan of his since his playing days at Tennessee (no one who knew him then is at all surprised how his career turned out) I always hated that he played for Dallas but it never stopped me rooting for him personally. Seems like all the other TE's I'm thinking of are from the past.

Peace,
Mr DJA

I posted this last month...

Eliminated from the 2015 playoffs as of today, 11-22-14:

Oakland
Jacksonville
Tennessee
New York

Tampa Bay
Washington
New York
Carolina
Minnesota
Chicago
St Louis

Not much has changed. Can add Houston to the AFC eliminated. The NFL's math for who's still got a chance is ridiculous. Of course Tampa and Carolina still "have a chance" - only if New Orleans and Atlanta lose out, which won't happen.

AFC is still tough but I'd guess on Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Buffalo to get eliminated today. In the NFC might as well count San Francisco and Detroit out, although if Seattle stumbles SF has a chance. I just don't see SF playing good enough.

GaslightStreet-

First inclination leads one to believe New Orleans will annihilate Carolina.

It's too good to be true.

KC as well at AZ .... uncomfortable with KC in this particular game.

Also, as standard operating procedure Baltimore will beat Miami. They are simply tougher.

I can't predict the Seattle - Philly game. Too many variables. Go HAWKS!!!

Especially the way it's going right now in the FIRST QUARTER:

Carolina 17
New Orleans 0

Saints eliminate themselves from the playoffs with a loss today in my eyes.

I'm watching Pitt vs. Cincy & on Fox Indy at Cleveland. Not many choices in a hotel room.

Yeah the Saints are disappointing - Worse? Clowney for Houston.

24-3 Carolina, almost end of the first half. WOW. I figured it would be goofy but not that goofy already.

All the local paper sports writers predicted NO 31 CAR 17 kind of scores.

Looks like most of the games so far today are not going as one might expect!

Chargers will beat the Patriots and Broncos to clinch not only the AFC West but home-field advange.

Pathetic.

I hope the Philly - Seattle game is televised here in the great Socialist State of California. It should be a good one.

Seattle / Philly a tight battle as one would expect. It looks like the Seahawks will go into halftime up 10-7. Who needs this game more?

Sorry I've been gone. Internet issues @ the house. Hard to get on at work. + dealing with some heavy family issues. Dad is dying & the knives are out with assorted relatives. The medical people have figured out I'm the only one who is reasonably sane. It's like having another full time job. Anyway, on to way better things at least if you're a Seahawk fan. The Philly game was mighty. Our D is back to championship levels. Its all about peaking at the right time. Although its still early, looks like a Seattle/GB NFC title game could be in the cards. I like our chances in that scenario. Feel pretty good about Hawk chances to catch ARI for NFC West & a possible 1st round bye. Thanks to the mighty Raiders for putting a stake through the black heart of SF. I'm going to the game on Sunday & am hoping for a massacre. Heard part of what was probably Harbaugh's last coaches show with the 49ers. Should be interesting what happens next with them. Last place in the division next year perhaps? Finally, thought Jeff Fisher sending out the 6 guys they got in the RG3 deal out as team captains in DC was really funny. Cold, but funny haha. Peace. GO HAWKS!

First and foremost: Welcome back crholmstrom... Hate to hear about your dad and the drama that is unfolding... especially sad when family members have to make a hard time even worse. Parts of my wife's family is starting to act rather inappropriately as her Dad's brother has begun what the doctor's have to us to expect to be his final few weeks in a three year battle with cancer. Here's wishing both you and your dad many smooth waters as you navigate this trying time. smileys with beer

Back on topic:
I thought Fisher's move was pretty funny too. I hated it when he left the Titans but have been rooting for him none the less. From what I've been able to gather, he seems to be a pretty good guy.

Again, all the best to your dad.

Peace,
Mr DJA
