As for the setlists ~ the way The Stones are rolling these days its their choice to play whatever songs they feel comfortable with. MICK doesn't like to take risks on lesser played songs, he knows they can pull these tried and true songs off well and the crowds go wild all over the world. Everyone knows these are the some of the best songs ever written! At this stage they are not trying to reinvent the wheel.
We are what matters, not them. They have asked a lot from us in payment for their presence. The joke's on us that they have decided to give us so little.

It was great! I had a good time!
Best support band was Triggerfinger, this band is really great!!
The Stones were fantastic!!! I stood against the golden circle, it was funny, the people who stood 2 meters before has paid twice as much than i....
Anyway, i had a very good time with some great bands, except Simple Minds.

Doom and Gloom
It's All Over Now
It's Only Rock'n Roll

Wow that stage height is crazy. Hopefully the stadium shows in Australia and NZ have a lower stage. I'd be peeved paying top $$ and not being able to see.

BeforeTheyMakeMeRunPlaying one more song? That would be outrageous!Quote

What bugs me about tonights setlist is how they excluded the song vote slot when they could have played both Its all over now and the song vote winner. Quite disrespectful throughwards the thousands of fans who took their time to vote for the song they wanted to hear.

What do you mean "so little" - Mick trains himself to destruction, Keith struggles through arthritic pain and disability, Ronnie has got himself sober, Charlie has an agonising back and just ploughs on through and they deliver a spectacle that is a joy for anyone who goes there. They try to ensure they give a terrific show every night and put in at least one surprise and anyone Who says any of this is seen as an **! Licker as opposed to a "real fan"

I see so many posts, in various other show threads, suggesting that the vote is rigged or predetermined. It is typically met with a wink and a nod or a rolling of the eyes. Sometimes sarcasm and maybe a complaint or two. Tonight the vote song was dropped and now there's outrage about the voters not being given their due. I don't remember seeing this outrage before. Maybe outrage is the wrong word. As I see it, at the last moment, they decided to omit a feature of their show and insert a song they rarely play in tribute to a friend who had just passed away. And people complain.
Plus, weren't they on a time limit? What was their allotment and what did they play?

I totally understand how setlist discussion can get long in the tooth but this 1% myth is equally tiresome.
Thanks to all for their comments on the show. As always, an entertaining thread despite the childish and self-aggrandizing posts of some.

I am at the corner.
The stage is HORRIBLY high. It is a shame!!!
It is like Abu Dhabi...
I am Keith side. I am not gonna see Charlie at all. Neither Ronnie.
Stop nagging about the stage and walk back, so you can see better.

Mick indroduced Ronnie, before Chuck Leavell???
It's stated on [www.rollingstones.com] , but I think it's the usual Twitter mistake .....

regarding the "19 songs" axiom. I think that "they" decided already month ago that 19 songs is the most they can confidently do with success night after night. In cases they feel conformable and in shape (most shows in the passing month) they extend some songs either with longer jams (MR) or just by adding a minute or so of extended "end of song" (JJF, GS, Satisfaction, TD). The pattern is obvious. I think that we should not expect that (relatively) occasional jumping into cold water we say, here and there, a year ago in North America with the MT playing in additional songs etc. etc.
