I did a lot of good shagging to that album.
But which album did you do bad-shagging to?....

Someone that bothers with Wikipedia needs to correctly fix the Black And Blue page, partly because of this lack of information right here:
"Fool to Cry" was the only track from Black and Blue to appear on the Stones' career-spanning greatest hits albums Forty Licks in 2002 and GRRR! in 2012.
Oh I see. So Sucking In The Seventies, Rewind and Jump Back don't count.
But were those compilations "career-spanning"?

I hate it!
The third iffy studio album in a row, but the one which confirms they were @#$%& and really ought to have called it a day after Exile.
Hot Stuff is high life party, cocktail glass clinking crap. Barf.
I bought this album once, 'twas gone quick time, never again!

Hey Negrita has cool riff, but the song goes nowhere. There's something about Fool To Cry, but not enough something to make it matter.

It shouldn't be compared to GHS and IORR at all, imo.

It should because it's by the same band and it's a third duffer from a flow of crap album releases.
Being true to your supposed routes is not something that matters.
PS: Connection connected with the woman who smiled sweetly.

He may or may not have been held back, but the woman somehow managed to tell him "don't worry" so a connection of some kind was made.
B&B is a shit album with the worst opener ever in the recorded history of mankind.

It's not funk! It's cheesy as @#$%& New York high life cocktail party music. clink clink.
Of course, there is no point in discussing this with me because I cannot not be convinced otherwise.

"Hot Stuff" -> An average attempt at funk/disco. A bit tedious.
"Hand of Fate" -> A simple auto-paradoy of a rocker, with the standard Keith open tuning riff. Still, nice to hear.
"Cherry Oh Baby" -> A terrible, terrible, terrible attempt at reggae. As a matter of fact, one genre the Stones consistently don't do very well is reggae.
"Memory Motel" -> I am not very fond of this kind of tearjerkers. Maybe with Mick Taylor still around it would have been a bit more interesting.
"Hey Negrita" -> Another average attempt at funk/disco. More tedious than Hot Stuff.
"Melody" -> Great song. It's the only song of the album I truelly like. The chords, the rhythm, the lyrics, but of course especially the way-over-the top campy falsettos from Mick Jagger and Billy Preston are great.
"Fool to Cry" -> Not bad, a bit camp but kind of original in a way.
"Crazy Mama" -> Another self-parody standard rocker. Still, okay to listen to.
All in all, an average album at best, with only one really outstanding song and, admittedly, a great cover photo.

And you're not satisfied even before you were born. That's also an important factor.

A review is of course about aquired taste. However, wrong categorisation of musical styles is not
