yeah, the 'nice guy' stuff gets a little old.
Meanwhile--the US deluxe package is now $90, up from $59 when I first ordered it (and thankfully locked in the price). This is crazy!
It's crazy but pretty typical of what we've seen of these pre-releases. Certainly worth doing a bit of research on beforehand.
On the other hand, I've done this with the Beatles vinyl box buying at an 'incredible' $299, seeing it jump to $399 and then pop back down to $229 AFTER I've already bought it.
It's like buying on the NASDAQ!

Well I for one would rather have the 1969 dvd than not, if I'm paying the same price anyway. I did a quick look and all the European Amazon sites seem to have fallen in line with the 4 disc offering, but in Canada and US they've maintained a 5 disc listing with US being the only one that specifically states the 1969 disc and tracklisting.
I think where we are right now is...we'll see.

JPC in Germany has now set the date of delivery for all japanese Editions to "2-3 weeks (if available from supplier)".
No date of delivery was mentioned in the order confirmation
Very interesting indeed. You'll have to tell us what exactly the big box Japanese edition includes. From what I've seen on Amazon, it lists 7 discs but there are in fact 8 when you include the 'bonus CD'. No mention of a Hyde Park '69 disc.
Also interesting is they do list separately, a Deluxe set with 5 discs, a la the US/Canada Amazon and a 4 disc deluxe set, a la the European Amazon country sites.
Here is the page with all the set variations...astounding how many different versions you can get, for a set that I'd bet will have trouble moving 100,000 units:

Sometimes I get the feeling they're listening/reading our comments on pre-release information. This way they can gauge what might sell. My thought is they heard negativity about a 1969 DVD because it's already out, and this is a reasonable complaint in my opinion. I just hope the LPs have a stronger outer sleeve than GYYYO.

My Superdeluxe Japan set came today. Blu ray, 3 CDs 3 LPs. The third Cd is just the bonus track Happy. Don't know more , won't be opening it until tonight.

I don't see a code but the blu ray plays in my Samsung USA blu ray player. And it has Japanese subtitles when people are speaking.

Been charged 14 35 quid duty for the Japanese edition hope can switch off the subtitles when people are speaking.

Thanks. Japanese region code for blu ray is the same as the U.S. one. You would need to check if the DVD is playable (if there's one in your package) as codes for DVD's are different in Japan and in The USA
