Was only kidding. I'm only wondering what factors are taken into account while choosing from which concert shot to be used, especially concerning wide audience shots...

Ignore me, I'm grouchy this morning.

As for the Satisfaction I see members of audience that were there only on the 13th. And the performance might be from the 6th? Or only some parts of the video? Does that mean the audience was much better on the 13th? smiling smiley

just means that when they were editing....they liked the shot of the audience from the 13th. 99.9999% of dvd viewers wouldn't know that those crowd members were at the other show. other than vital stage/band shots....video of anything else could be used from either show....and that audience reaction shot may not even have been during Satisfaction. had the weather been drastically different as gazza points out...editors would have done everything possible to make it work...pulling from hours of other audience video etc... and if it was a lost cause...might have decided NOT to release the hyde park show.

Well, at least some shoots of the crowd on "You Can't Always Get What You Want" are definitely from the 6th. I remember the pretty girl with wet eyes in the end making many appearances on the big screen on that day.

The performance of the song has been very good in both dates anyway.

I remember her vividly--in fact, I remember posting about her after the show, because seeing her response on the screen really contributed to my enjoyment of the show. smiling smiley

Weird...just noticed the bonus tracks on the Amazon.it version of the Deluxe set list Emotional Rescue, not Tumbling Dice while on the US Amazon.com it lists Tumbling Dice in the bonus section instead of Emotional Rescue.

Is it possible that one of them is incorrect, or that they are different?

Also, Amazon.it still lists 5 discs but doesn't yet mention the '69 concert.

I'll wager that every DVD version will have identical content, despite the inconsistencies on national Amzn sites.

Hope you're right but offering different packages with different content would increase sales for artists and headaches for us....very recent examples are all of
the different Elton John THE DIVING BOARD and McCartney NEW packages.

New picture on amazon.de and amazon.co.uk:

Should there really be different versions in the US (5 disc incl. 1969) and EU?

Well I think the interesting bit here is that NTSC is listed as the format on ALL the deluxe sets I've seen so far, no matter which Amazon country site it's listed.

That's obviously for the North American market and Japan. Can that mean there is no PAL version for the European players, even though it's sold there specifically?

I've ordered from amazon.it because it's listed as NTSC...I'm hoping that is the version I actually get.

If there is only NTSC, then presumably it is the exact same package they're selling on the amazon.com site.

No, it says in German FSK ab 0 friegegeben.
FSK is some sort of age control in Germany ... I think ... I am sure that one of our German friends can explain better

My point was:
Description - 1DVD, 1Blueray, 2CD + book.

On the picture - 2DVD (sign DVD below Eagle Rock), 1 - unknown (just Eagle Rock), 1 - impossible to identify + book.

I do not see 'compact disc audio' or 'blue ray' markings on those discs.

Catalog numbers on those discs are missing too, by the way.

I think its done before they got the discs written and printed, imo i would say its photoshopped on blanc discs.Take alook at the picture and how the dimension of the tounge and the written text is a bit unreal plus i can not see otherwise than its exactly the same text on everyone of them.

I'm strongly of the opinion too, that the Amazon picture is photoshopped.

The picture is showing 4 Discs while the description still says 5 Discs (or should this mean 5 Items?).

We have to wait until the 8th or 11th November, to see what's really in the Box.

BTW: on Amazon UK (and on Bravado) there is one of the two T-Shirts from the japanese 20.000 Yen Mail-order-limited Box:

So many different formats, trying to wade through the 30 odd pages here to see which one is worth getting^

This one looks fine to me, it includes the 3 bonus - Emotional Rescue, PIB, BTMRR. I definitely want 'Emotional Rescue' rather than 'Tumbling Dice' if it has to be a choice, or to go for the Japan Deluxe.

Price 29.99 not too bad for the DVD, Blu Ray, Book (surely not much of a book^)

Thanks for that Treacle; that's the same one I was eyeing on Amazon UK; hey it's 5 Euro cheaper so thank you Amazon Italy!

On first viewing In thought Hyde Park was good, but on 2nd and 3rd viewing over weekend I'm coming to really love it. 'Synpathy' is so-so, but 'Gimme Shelter' I thought was a wonderful version! 'Satisfaction' was a killer; excellent!

The deluxe version has FINALLY hit amazon.ca, for $76. Almost $20 cheaper than amazon.com but still way overpriced compared to amazon.it

For the vinyl version, I'll note that amazon.ca is more in line with everywhere else now, at around $40.

If the Japanese SSS was, say, the Glastonbury show, I might have bought it. But spend all that cash for one extra track? No way.
