Atlantic City is one of the best shows they ever did, imo.
Id prefer Houston over Hampton even if it was the same exact setlist, simply because its a different show. We've probably all heard hampton hundreds of times. It would be cool to hear the songs played a little differently.Quote

Why not restore this one too and bundle them together?
Only worth doing a restoration if the Houston show had a significantly different set list to Hampton.

Just watching Hampton now I'd forgotten how ruined Ronnie was! Keith however, is on fire!

Ruined?
What are you talking about?
The solo he plays on YCAGWYW is simply fantastic! He plays great during the whole show.

Maybe this was mentioned already.....I looked around and didn't see anything (though I'm sorry if it has) but it seems from looking at Eagle Rock's website that there will be an official CD release of Hampton '81 with the BluRay edition of the concert.

The blu ray will be a "standard definition" blu ray (yes I know, something of a contradiction!) i.e. not mastered to 1080p standards.

so it means that we have no chance to have it in 2.35:1 format ?
it sounds strange nowadays to release video stuff in 4:3 formatQuote

Since it was recorded in 4:3 format, no.

this format is more and more rarely used ...almost old fashioned now
I wonder if this new release will really bring something new or better than the Jointrip version which is quite good as far as the video quality is concerned.

LA Forum;
The footage has now been carefully restored - great!
and the sound has been newly mixed by Bob Clearmountain - I hope he made a good job and didn't ruin that 1975 beautiful Stones sound
