“From The Vault” is a new series of live concerts from The Rolling Stones archive which are getting their first official release. “L.A. Forum – Live In 1975” is the second title in this series. The Rolling Stones’ “Tour Of The Americas ‘75” was the band’s first tour with new guitarist Ronnie Wood. Even before the dates started there were dramatic scenes in New York City at the official tour announcement when the band unexpectedly turned up on a flatbed truck to play “Brown Sugar”. After a couple of low key warm-up shows in Louisiana the tour took in 44 dates between the 3rd June and the 8th August 1975. They settled into the L.A. Forum for a five night stint from July 9th to 13th and this concert film features the show from July 12th. The footage has now been carefully restored and the sound has been newly mixed by Bob Clearmountain for this first official release of the show.

Key Selling Points

Simultaneous release on DVD, DVD+2CD and DVD+3LP.

The Rolling Stones profile remains extremely high following their 50th Anniversary tour and releases

Full length 2½ hour concert of The Rolling Stones performing at their very best.

i can hardly wait for LA 75. this will be awesome to have !!!

I don't get it - (sorry...)

There's a DVD-version and/or Blu-Ray version (1 disc), right?;
a CD (audio) & DVD version (3 discs), correct?;
and a 'Vinyl' version that says "4 discs" (3 LP's?), and mentions a "bonus DVD"...

Would that be a different DVD than the 1-disc DVD release?!

What great news ! Sometimes I like the end of holidays. Hampton and LA 75 (July 12 let's hope) at last on DVD ! Of course we had Hampton in excellent condition with the jointrip edition but this official should be perfect (not like the bonus on Muddy box set sad smiley
Can't wait for this MUST show.
In 82 the French TV aired Hampton and this was my first STONES knock out. I was 14 and said to myself "what a great performance" I was amazed by Jagger moves and wished I could attend the Paris shows. Unfortunately I lived too far from Paris at the time... So this release (so many years... Never understood why they did not jumped on the occasion when it was hot to boost their reputation since this was the first massive stadium tour) is really an event.

"we know it's a bit late but we hope you don't mind if we stay"

Great to see them finally releasing more stuff from the vaults but looks like this is only available in Europe as neither Hampton or L.A. 75 DVD/ Bluray is available from Amazon US or Japan yet?

The Hampton Bluray is Region B only and I am assuming the LA DVD is region code 2 which means us Yanks can't play them unless we have a region code free player.

Anyone know if these titles will be released in the U.S.?

I can't imagine that nothing will be released for US people and the region A before the end of the year.

Maybe they're trying to figure out a way to make a bigger promotional splash in the U.S. when they make the announcement. It's ridiculous to think they wouldn't sell concert DVDs in the U.S. that took place in the U.S.

The whole thing with regions, editions and stuff feels more and more obsolete as time goes by. I always look for the cheapest I can find on ebay or a local webstore in Sweden, pretty much regardless of region codes. Got a region free dvd, or otherwise use the computer. If I know I won't listen much more than once to a release, I'll do with youtube or the pirate bay.

Of all the archive releases, I've bought everything from '72-'82 but skipped the rest. Also passed on the new Ladies & Gents release because of the lame sound mix and the lack of unseen material (did enjoy the film at the cinema though).

Let's hope for some unseen stuff on these new dvds!!! LA '75 12th would be wonderful.
(Still wish they would release something substantial from '69-73 that we haven't seen or heard yet!)

No, they will. There are NTSC DVDs available now on Amazon UK for both shows. The Texas show through Eagle Rock wasn't available on Amazon US as early either but it was available before the release date.

Well it's certainly been cleaned up! Compared to the clip on the EagleRock Checkerboard Lounge DVD it's perfection. Roll on November.
