I will be at Hyde Park. That's where The Stones belong. Not in arenas at 1,500 USD tix.

the 85's are gone again but the 600's remain....what gives?

Arena is good - 20.000 paying 85-150 USD - no problem, that would give 2,350 million USD pr. show. I guess Jagger can do the same calculation.

"What I read is only about overpriced tickets, arena half full. Nothing about music, not a single world written on this. How will be Keith ? Will Mick be able to demonstate that he is still the greatest frontman ? Wow Mick Taylor is there ? NO, nothing about this. Only money"

Only money? You should read more threads. There a more than a few that talk about the music, Keith, Mick, Mick T and all the rest. I for one am excited about seeing what appears to be a rejuvinated band (based on the PPV from last December) with a guest spot from one of my favorite guitarists.

I wasn't refering about the threads specifically. But excerpts and articles in the papers. O2 was great. Keith did a wonderful job, watch Tyalor with the Stones was a joy and Mick was Mick. The ordinary Stones audience is not the one who will attend these arenas. The audience that made them where they are is not this one. Hyde Park : yes. Arenas for the rich :no.

I have never been a whiner. I just feel very sad for what is happening to the Greatest Rock Band. I have been to O2 and really feel they were great. If Mick prefers to play in front of half arena, it's his choice. But the wrong one for his legacy.

There are plenty of things to get sad about in this world but I'm not sure it makes sense to end up in a state of clinical depression over what a rock band does or doesn't do.

When they do stadiums people say they want smaller, more intimate shows, when they do arenas people want stadiums. They can't win.

"Lyin' awake in a cold, cold sweat. Am I overdrawn, am I going in debt?
It gets worse, the older that you get. No escape from the state of confusion I'm in.

I'm not sure the answer to shifting focus away from ticketing/money issues to the music is more threads about ticketing/money issues. Even though you make some good points phd, it does kind of feed the monster.

Holy moly. If some people here added up all the time they spent whining and griping about ticket prices they could spend that time working a part time job and could afford plenty of tickets. Problem solved.

Even I finally got bored of whining here.

There's only so many times I can say "It's too expensive". It only seems like the mainstream media is FINALLY catching up with this. It's kind of funny because when I read current articles slamming the Stones' greed I feel like saying "yeah, yeah, that's SO 2012, hahah!

I am looking forward to checking out a pro-shot video of this tour, be it the last PPV or something coming down the line. I'm over the fact that I'm not going, but that doesn't mean I don't at least want a good-quality copy of SOMETHING to enjoy in my home home from this tour.

I'm not whining (well kind of) but if every opening night of a Stones tour had this vibe :

THIS tour opening has that vibe to me :

Thant doesn't work if you are chinese. They already work 24 hours a day for less than peanuts.

Just fyi, the Stones have just as many fans who are happy/hopeful about going, as they do folks who are angry/frustrated by prices. Every single time GRRRRRRegory or the Stones post on facebook/twitter, folks are making more an more jokes about the Stones being outright robbers. "Rip Me Off" instead of Rip This Joint, etc...

I imagine that right about now Stones management, including the interns running twitter and facebook, are frustrated as all getout. They probably ignore every single response and email across all networks. Atleast 20% of it is discussing about pricing. NOT GOOD.

Thanks. What I wanted to check is that only 600 USD were available. I found out that 250 USD were too. Big Surprise. I though that those "cheap" tickets were sold out. No. They did it all wrong for their last mini tour.

You want Keith, Charlie and Taylor to sing "I Second That Emotion"? It's so crazy it just might work.

Did you get tickets? If not, this might be in the easiest buying from scalpers outside the arena, on an opening night of a Stones Tour, of all time. The release of all of thsoe $85.00 tickets crashed the market. The scalpers will scalp people and then you can scalp the scalpers..... Id bet $150.00 for a KILLER $600.00 face value ticket right before show time. Go for it.

Once the show starts those $600.00 pieces of paper quickly become cool book marks, at an alarming rate.

I'm quite positive people are not whining and griping but rather mocking and scolding.
Big difference.

Gotta say as a 30 year fan I was lucky enough to see the last show in Newark. The war horses I hated and heard live 18 previous times were done with a passion and vigor it gave those songs back to me to the point I enjoy hearing them again. Gone was the over horned sythisising...just the band!

Wow! I'd like to give you a medal for a perfect Rolling Stones fan AD 2013. I always wonder what sort of people Jagger has in his mind when he is doing his business decisions, but at least now I have a sort of idea... I congratatulate you... ain't it good to be you, and with your values, in the times like of these?
