You are now part of Stones' lore TM4M with the first video posting of MT and the boys in decades. My eyes are tearing up; hafta start it again after only :30.

Ha, I'm so happy too see Mick Taylor again. Back to the Stones gold era !

Wow. He spun, he crouched, he played slide, he prowled the @#$%& front of the stage, he kept running back to the guitar gang by Charlie's riser, he unleashed some amazing riffs, he hugged Keith at the end. Wow. Sure there were some misplayed bits and whatnot, but I can't imagine just coming out onstage and being in improvisational-ready mindset on a giant stage. He was moving around like a puppy dog. The Vibrato is now the 'Big Gazelle', haha.

Thanks so much for this vid, man. Since he wasn't introduced at the beginning of the song, only the astute got this on vid.

Very cool! MT claims a little too much space here, maybe, but who can blame him after so many years, and most of his playing is great! Nice to see both Ronnie and Keith letting Mick T shine here.

Glad someone else noticed too. Perhaps it was the mix on the video but I was straining to hear some of that Keith/Charlie pocket that still makes this song great. I couldn't find it. Hopefully by the time they do the PPV, it will even out. At the moment, I can't really say that it's the best ever MR they've ever done.

Am I the only one that thought Taylor on Midnight Rambler to be a bit messy? Jeff Beck did an outstanding job though.

Awesome! Sound pretty cool..funny how Taylor moving across the stage..smiling smiley

And I think that record really show the difference between the MIck Taylor period and Ron. Woody standing very near to Keith, listening each other and weawing with an outstanding collaboration, while MT playing his own solo part. Which is fabulous of course and gave the Stones another dimensions.

But overall, I think the Wood-Richards pair is the real, unique Stones sonding.

ps: thanks for posting it

At times yes. It's a great video but I'm sure it sounded better in person. There are so many intricate little parts and moods in this song and it seems Taylor forgot most of them. There are several little sections in this song and Taylor sort of treats it as just one big song.

If they went to all this trouble to get so many parts of this show down perfectly, I'm hoping Jagger can actually make them rehearse Rambler a few more times before the next gig.

Thank you very much for this clip! Great to see this. Although it was great to see him back again with the stones, I really hope that the next one (if there is another one) will see a toned down performance from Mick Taylor. A better 'awareness' of where to play what if you will. Looked under-rehearsed from Mick Taylor. Hope he gets a second chance, if not we have this historic performance.

It's bloody fantastic! We now have to get used to a new Taylor -prowling the stage instead of not moving at all! It is indeed a bit messy, but I guess much of that is due to the poor video sound. I must say that I find all guitars sound quite spikey though, something I understand was present during the rehearsals as well.

Thank you for this video. Now that I've seen the MT MR video its OK to die.

My wife gave me hell for spending all the money on the Newark shows. I feel vindicated now.
