Good spot. I wish today was 2012. I think I was in Dartford around this time, before going to the O2 Arena with two good friends.

One year already - time flies .....

Was it the last time we saw Bill Wyman with the Stones?

PS: Here a link to the Videos and the MultiCam-DVD from 25-Nov-2012.

(Didn't Bill play at the Thursday show?)

What a night, I'll never forget it. I'd been feeling like absolute crap, thanks to seasonal allergies, and then they came onstage and I felt amazing. I couldn't believe that they were playing I Wanna Be Your Man for the first time in so long, the first song by them I ever heard, and that they were just so bloody good, STILL!! I listened to that show again this weekend (thanks to whoever posted it in the Hot Stuff section), and I felt beyond excited all over again. hot smiley

He played at both shows: Sunday, 25-Nov-2012 and Thursday, 29-Nov-2012, but only 2 songs each.

Yeah, it would be nice to being able to step back a year, on certain nights.

I still have the PPV show on my DVR. Now that I've watched Hyde Park, I'm going to have to watch the PPV again.

I remember enjoying the PPV even more than Hyde Park.

I do too, I was really concerned I'd have lost it when my TV died and I had to get a new one (not really understanding how the DirecTV thing works) but no, still there! I must watch that again soon, too.

Yep, what an evening in the pit...actually I watched the multicam the other day to relive Taylor's pouncing on the stage at the beginning of MR. A couple of mistakes towards the end but What runs he played, never quite the same after that...until he put his magic on CYHMK at LA/3.

I'm glad the occasion is being remembered here. It remains my favourite Stones show and listening to the recording over the weekend just passed brought it all back and confirmed that it really was that good. Actually, Taylor sounded better than I remembered but I was so carried away with just his sheer presence - prowling and stalking Jagger if you recall - on the night that I couldn't take it all in. Unlike Hyde Park, which was just another greatest hits set, this show truly marked their 50 years with a good representation of their body of work. The atmosphere and sense of anticipation was tangible and probably nearly all of us were at least a little bit worried in case they couldn't cut it anymore - having paid more than we'd ever paid before to see them - and the relief and joy of them surpassing all expectations made for a truly incredible night.

thumbs up

Starting with all those old hits, like It's All Over Now, was such a great touch. The whole evening was so special--the video at the beginning, the drummers in the audience before they came on. I was about to explode by that point. smiling smiley

Is noone the feminine version of noon?

Already a year and a day gone past on that wonderful evening. I could not believe I was there and that I would experience Rambler with Mick Taylor, no disrespect to Ronnie obviously. What a great setlist.....

From the pit, the whole night was absolutely overwhelming ....Best ever.

Maybe not musically, but the excitement will never be bettered IMO
