Am I the only one that thought Taylor on Midnight Rambler to be a bit messy?
At times yes. It's a great video but I'm sure it sounded better in person. There are so many intricate little parts and moods in this song and it seems Taylor forgot most of them. There are several little sections in this song and Taylor sort of treats it as just one big song.
If they went to all this trouble to get so many parts of this show down perfectly, I'm hoping Jagger can actually make them rehearse Rambler a few more times before the next gig.
It's bloody fantastic! We now have to get used to a new Taylor -prowling the stage instead of not moving at all! It is indeed a bit messy, but I guess much of that is due to the poor video sound. I must say that I find all guitars sound quite spikey though, something I understand was present during the rehearsals as well.

Very cool! MT claims a little too much space here, maybe, but who can blame him after so many years, and most of his playing is great! Nice to see both Ronnie and Keith letting Mick T shine here.
Glad someone else noticed too. Perhaps it was the mix on the video but I was straining to hear some of that Keith/Charlie pocket that still makes this song great. I couldn't find it. Hopefully by the time they do the PPV, it will even out. At the moment, I can't really say that it's the best ever MR they've ever done.

It's also funny how MT turns to the guitartech right after Keith starts off the main riff and signalises to him to turn up the amp!

You mean the Dylan photo, Nico? That's from TV show in 1963, where he performed Blowin In The Wind, Ballad of Hollis Brown....and one other one
