True, I didn't like Start Me Up much when I brought home the single. Obviously I changed my mind...Still, it might be fun to watch everyone else argue about it before I give it a listen.

prediction: doom and gloom will sound like Mixed Emotions, but with a little more of an understated, bluesy feel, but still rocking.

How do I know? It's what I dreamed last night. I heard the whole thing.

i had to undergo months of counseling and therapy. i still have an occasional tic that's quite noticeable...at the mere mention of the song....dammit, there it goes again.

I hope 'Doom & Gloom' isn't a social or PC politcal harangue ala "Highwire." The title sounds like it could be.

Unfortunately, "Doom and Gloom" has those polly refs that Mick hasn't handled well lately ...
f'r instance, "Back of My Hand" and "Sweet Neocon" ... when he writes literally, he's awful.
When he uses Dylanesque imagery ala "Jumpin' Jack Flash", he's terrific. But he hasn't written
quite like that since "Undercover", sooo ...

I'm expecting something like "Don't stop" and "Let me down slow", latter day Stones sound but with unmistakable details and strong melodies that sends hints from the past.

They got One last shot to release a classic tune!

Yes, with all thats going on in the world, its much more dignified for 70 year old men to be singing about their cocks. Or in this case, going out dancing.

i'm not 100% certain, but i don't believe 70 year-old men even have cocks....

I´m hoping for a better snare drum sound than on the 4 40 Licks tracks.
