I'm not a big fan of Motley Crue, but my daughter was at their July concert in Bristow, VA (she had a summer job at the venue), and she said they blew the roof off the place. Crue was the opening act for Kiss, but had a much better show, with an incredible stage entrance and set. She got to stand in the aisle "guarding" the band as they entered the arena like gladiators from the back. She got a big kick out of it, and said the audience was much more into Motley Crue than Kiss.

Latebloomer,
What your Daughter said was absolutly true of the show I saw! Motley Crue blew the place away.
Thanks for relating her fun!

Nikki and Tommy crack me up and seem like pretty cool guys but Vince Neil is such an incredibly vile douchebag that I can neither look at his little pig face nor listen to that constipated excuse for a voice of his.

Crap band, always been. Just posing and attitude, nothing to add musically. They fit perfectly with KISS.
Saw them in 1984 on a festival with ACDC, Van Halen, Ozzy , Gary Moore and others. What a poor band they were comparing to the other ones.

I've only recently got into them. A friend played me the Wild Side video and i loved it. They have a lot of bad songs though. I've since watched all the documentarys about them on youtube and the story's are incredible. They looked pretty cool in their day too.

Nikki Sixx is a talentless poser. He thinks he's cool, but actually he's the only one who thinks that.
But on the other hand: Dr Feelgood & their debut are fun albums. Even a track or two I like from Shout at the devil.
And yes; The Dirt is a great read even if you think there's a lot of made up stuff in there.
