do not worry stones will roll again and rock harder than before.
STONES ARE WAY OF LIFE SINCE 1964.
Sometimes I wonder if statements like this are serious.
That statement comes from the heart I suppose which is a good place but the reality is that Keith isn't interested or able to rock and roll as hard as he used to or otherwise he would have done since 2007. I don't care,I love the Stones anyway.
Rock and Roll,
Mops
The Stones aren't really even a way of life for Mick, Keith, Charlie or Ron right now.

Good evening, sportsfans. This is Big Al on the FAN, all sports radio,
all the time. Let's cut to the chase. Let's cut the crap. Hell, I don't
care, let's even cut the cheese, if that's what it takes to sort through
this stinking mess.
Yes, I saw what you saw, so before you start trashing me on the phone lines,
for getting a detail or two wrong in my prediction, first make sure you saw what
I saw too! Before you open your big yaps, okay?
First of all, who has been the biggest advocate all season of Mike Yaeger
and the extraordinary skills he retains at this late stage of his career?
Big Al, that's who! This is not in dispute.
But with the division title already won, and with the buttcheeks of his longtime
teammate and championship partner, Kenny Richards, planted firmly on the
bench with at least nagging and maybe still serious injuries, who'd a thunk
that Yaeger would go out there last night and blow away absolutely everybody?
Everybody on the field, everybody in the stands, everybody at home watching.
Not even letting Richards take the field for one minute, to at least soak
up some fan appreciation.
Nobody, that's who! Including, uncharacteristically, yours truly, Big Al.
And certainly not these monday-morning wankerbacks on the phone lines waiting
to give me an earful about how they just KNEW that Yaeger would go completely
against the conventional wisdom and bring his A game, no, his A+ game to a
contest that in the larger scheme of things didn't matter that much.
So, let's get real, everybody. This is what we know and what we don't know.
And by "we" I of course mean "me", Big Al.
Yaeger sent a message big-time last night, both to Richards on the bench and
the whole world. It's his team right now, and if Richards wants to get back
in the lineup for the SuperSeries, he's got only one choice. He does things
Yaeger's way, fast and hard and 100%, or he don't play.
Now of course this is a bitter pill for Richards who has always been considered
at least the co-leader if not the outright leader of the team. But no more!
Yaeger couldn't have made that more clear. Even if he drew a picture. Even if
he gave an interview to Sharon Laurence in the Post.
That's what we know. And here's what we don't know. Has Richards already
accepted this new order? And so what we are seeing now is merely play-acting,
to drive up the ratings for the SuperSeries?
Or are Yaeger and Richards still at odds? Still feuding? Richards still unable
to swallow his pride sufficiently to fully accept Yaeger's undisputed leadership
of the team?
Those are the only questions. So talk about only THAT on the phonelines, or
you can expect to be hung up on fast! Get me? This is Big Al on the FAN.
Back after this.
(No relation to, and no offense intended towards, IORR's original Big Al,
the passport guy. There's just a lot of Big Als around.)

superrevvy, I finally figured out who you really are! You just have to be Don Was! Did I nail it, or get close? Not that I would expect you to tell us.
It is the exact same setlist from the last show of the tour in London.Quote

Would that plexiglass list be a rehearsal list or rather a list of the last 2007 tour? I hope it's the first :-) but it looks waaaaay to much like the august 26th 2007 setlist.
I need a RS tour.

Believe it or not, Mighty, the "Don Was" thing has come up before...
This is how it happened. I had taken a one-year vow of silence from posting
on any Stones sites, I don't why, some of sort of spiritual crap, when just like
barf on the front of my shirt, a book just suddenly appeared...
Another vow I have taken is to never try to write anything, to always
just barf it up...
I've mentioned the book before, a drug-infused madness-infused 50 year journey
with the Rolling Stones, that also oozes with the kind of cultural and
literary and even philosophical leakage that has grossed Stones fans out now
on the internet for almost 20 years. Y'know, brain fluid plus blood...
Anyway, naturally, this is what the book was gonna be called...
But then about halfway through writing it, I realized that the remainder of
the book would necessarily be quite influenced by the whole 50th thing.
The way that the course of any book is influenced by how it ends. So
the book just stopped in mid-air. So suddenly I didn't have any place to barf
anymore. I could no longer spill the barf on the page, so to speak. So I
signed back into IORR, Bliss asked me, "Rev where ya been?", and suddenly
I became the point person for the whole SuperHeavy thing. Somebody somewhere
knew that the very concept of SuperHeavy would trip me out completely, and
that I would write like a certified madman, day after day after day. During
this period Reba wondered, "Baby you haven't answered my fcukin calls for
five days." I said "No, sweetheart, we talked yesterday..." So Reba asks me,
"What day is it today, darlin?" I immediately replied, "Tuesday." Then she yells
at me, "It's Friday! What the hell is going on?"
True story. After assuring Reba that I was just excited reading about this new
group Mick was part of, and promising her that I would stop reading asap and
take her out to dinner in a few days and everything would be normal, I almost
kept my promise. In just a few weeks I came through with flying colors
with normal and dinner etc.
Anyway, in the succeeding weeks, after re-reading some of my barf, I decided
that y'all were right and I was just about the worst Mick Jagger impersonator
the world has ever seen, exactly as bad as Kevin the insurance guy on
SNL. And so I immediately re-titled my book as follows. But since there's
no real market for even the Jagger version, there's not really been any kind of
rush in my mind to get back to writing it...

I've changed my mind, Mighty. You might be onto something. The evidence is
starting to mount, not that I'm Don Was, but that he's the one feeding me info,
somehow, perhaps with subliminal hypnotic techniques...
1) Don Was was at the SNL thing
2) and I just happen to do my WFAN sports radio parody AT THE SAME TIME that SNL
is doing their parody of ESPN sports TV. It got cut at the last minute because
"Stefan" ran over, but here's the ESPN thing from the dress rehearsal...
Hi-Q for yanks: [www.nbc.com]
Lo-Q for others:
3) And then of course there's this from Don Was: "There’s something in
particular that struck me while we were making Bigger Bang. We did most of the
recording in France, and at the time I was following the NBA, on the Internet.
I had also recently read Phil Jackson’s book, Sacred Hoops. And what started to
dawn on me is how a five piece rock ’n’ roll band is in many ways identical to a
basketball team. That’s true of the Stones, especially, where you’ve got a
center, and two forwards playing guitar, and guards on bass and drums. The
Stones are like the Detroit Pistons, who are such a superb team. It’s a joy to
watch the Pistons play, because of the interplay that goes on between them. It’s
as if you reach a near-Utopian condition, or a rare moment when men cooperate
together because they know it’s in their best interest as a group—and as
individuals—to work together. The Pistons are always passing the ball, and
they’re extremely generous with one another. No one’s trying to hog the ball.
And the same thing is true of the Stones when they’re at their best."
3A) Note to Don: I think for the Stones "farewell" tour you also need to re-watch
some of Phil Jackson's Chicago Bulls, y'know, when it was a whole lot about MJ.
4) Plus of course, perhaps most convincingly, both Don and I took the same
drugs at the same time at university in michigan (with both of us beginning
our worship of the Stones in 1964).
5) So perhaps Don used these same subliminal hypnotic techniques to make me change
the title of my book?
6) Was/Not Was ???
(Bonus content: SNL's Fred Armisen in an interview after the show,
"Meeting Mick Jagger -- he's an exceptional human being. He's a person
of the ages. An intellectual brilliant guy." )

Okay, I'll be quiet "for a bit". But just let me say this as I exit:
When you get all kinds of new Stones music soon, and when the Stones go live
in 2012, and you see what Coach Was has done to whip this bedraggled group
back into championship form, you will do what I have always done...
Worship thegroundwater that Coach Was walks on!

I feel it is necessary to break my silence just this once to update you on what
I have found out about the Don Was conspiracy and how deep it runs. Frankly
I have no idea whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. Even more frankly,
I really don't know what I think about anything anymore, when it comes to Mick
Jagger and the Rolling Stones, because I'm suddenly quite uncertain which of
my thoughts are my own, and which have been implanted in me through Don Was's
clever use of the media, including the internet, including IORR, where we have
all seen the blatant use of agents over at least the last year...
So I'm going to try to stick to what we know, objectively, and what we don't
know, and not engage in any untoward speculation. You the readers of my words
will neccesarily have to take on the roles of judge and jury.
1) Let's put the most important fact on the table first: Don Was has no
nefarious intent! His only goal, nay obsession, is to win another championship
for the Rolling Stones. Whether you care at all about who or what Don Was crushes
in order to accomplish this goal, well, that's entirely up to you of course.
2) Don Was is good at what he does! Many regard the Some Girls bonus disk as the one of the best
Rolling Stones records ever. And it is of course mostly the product of Don Was's
post-production wizardry. Don Was has already admitted that he added uncredited
Bill Wyman-type bass to some tracks ("who's gonna know?" ). But most of you fail
to remember that Don Was also plays guitar, keyboards, and drums!!
3) Thus the upcoming Rolling Stones 3-CD set, The Avalanche, consisting of
mostly unreleased and a few new things, which Don and Don alone has slaved
away at for almost three years, must be properly viewed as The Rolling
Stones featuring Don Was. Don drove this point home by player-coaching the
Stones during their recent Weehawken sessions. It was Don, not Mick, who
pulled the plug on SNL Stones. "Not ready yet", sniffed Head Coach Don Was.
4) Didn't any of you besides me find it extremely curious that when it finally
came to light what the Stones had played at their December Wyman-session, it
turned out to be some bluesy standards (as would be expected) and then quite
unexpectedly stuff from the Some Girls bonus disk?!? This was Coach Don Was
blatantly asserting, "You lot will dance to my tune, or you will not dance at all!"
5) Listen if you dare to this recent Don Was interview with WDET Detroit.
Yes absolutely Don sounds like a really nice guy (so did Meyer Lansky) but
during the conversation Don Was makes a startling admission. It was Don Was who
sought out Raphael Sadiq for the Grammies. It was Don Was who arranged and
directed that segment of the show. And it was Don Was who forced Jagger to
ruthlessly prepare for his brief appearance in the spotlight!
6) Similarly at the White House blues show, even though Booker T Jones was
advertised as the "musical director", who was there the whole time during
rehearsals and seated HAT AND ALL front row for the show where he could
direct everyone with hand signals?
7) Even more similarly, here's Don conspiring with Mick backstage at SNL,
carefully out of the sight of Lorne Michaels, but not out of the sight of
SuperRevvy. Don seems to be informing Mick of the success of his plan to send
Ronnie to Cannes to get him out of the way. As you may know, Don has made
a supergroup-type record with Dave Grohl in the past, and so Don was undoubtedly
the moving force behind the unlikely collaborations we witnessed.
8) And of course don't forget Don Was compelling Keith Richards to "co-produce"
with Don Was the new Aaron Neville record for Blue Note records, a company which
Don Was has just taken over strong-arm style.
9) In my opinion, somebody on IORR has put forward the most trenchant and
pungent metaphor which should guide your thinking throughout this championship
season. Here it is again, in case you were distracted...
Mick Jagger Michael Jordan
Keith Richards Scotty Pippen
Charlie Watts Luc Longley
Ronnie Wood Dennis Rodman
Steve Kerr Chuck Leavell
Ron Harper B Wyman/D Was
And who by God WHO could possibly be the genius of geniuses coach Phil Jackson ?
Of course! There is only one! The philosopher Stone (and mob boss) DON WAS !!!
10) "Don" of course means "godfather"
