There are new quotes from Keith Richards and Mick Taylor in the latest issue of the U.S. edition of Rolling Stone (June 7, 2012). There's also new information about the upcoming documentary. Along with some reinforcement of old quotations and information, I think all of you will find it a very interesting article contained within this issue. Make of it what you will.

Head Coach Phil Jackson DON WAS !!!

Toni Kukoc Mick Taylor

"Despite the Bulls' success, tension between Phil Jackson and Bulls general
manager Jerry Krause grew. Some believed that Krause felt under-recognized for
building a championship team and believed that Jackson was indebted to him for
giving him his first NBA coaching job. In the summer of 1997, Jackson was not
invited to the wedding of Krause's stepdaughter, although all of the Bulls'
assistant coaches were, as was Tim Floyd, then head coach at Iowa State,
Jackson's eventual successor. After contentious negotiations, Jackson was signed
for the 1997-98 season only. Krause announced the signing by emphasizing that
Jackson would not be rehired even if the Bulls won the 1997-98 title. Jackson
then told Krause that he seemed to be rooting for the other side, to which
Krause responded, "I don't care if it's 82-and-0 this year, you're fcuking
gone." Krause publicly portrayed Jackson as a two-faced character who
had very little regard for his assistant coaches. At the height of the
controversy in the spring of 1998, one of Krause's staff went to press row in
Chicago's United Center to explain to a reporter the insidious nature of
Jackson's ego.
"

(plus of course SOMEBODY has gotten the message through to Keith and let
him know he better clam up. or else.)

Jerry Krause was a fat little troll. Michael Jordan was the first second and third reason They won Championships, Pippen and Jackson deserve the rest of the credit

It's Mick having a good time. Why is that a provocation to anyone?

It was worth reading for the Meyer Lansky joke alone which made me laugh out loud. The thing about Revvy is much as his shtick rankles some people (sometimes me) for being self-absorbed or seemingly delusional, he rarely loses his sense of humor. When the rest of the board was imploding over whether or not the Stones would play SNL, the guy was having the time of his life inflating his fantasy Stones ever higher and, in retrospect, he kept it together and was consistently amusing during a time when many of us acted like the sky was falling.

I need to say that after a while not following this thread too closely, and now giving it a look, I really don't know what is going on here, and what are people talking about, and I'm way too lazy catch where I lost the touch; the thread hard is too long for that. But don't mind me. Keep going on (though I don't grasp the point of thread's "sticky" status any longer).

I agree Doxa. 36 pages of speculation about a tour that no one knows will ever take place is a bit over the top.

I think this one can stay sticky until a tour is announced, if it's
at least somewhat on topic, that is.

Why you say that? I know why. Maybe. I just don't get why. For some reason I poke fun at Mr Done Deal I get deleted, yet others are free to roam with it.

And indeed it was nothing derogatory etc, just the usual 'broken clock' or whatever.

superevvy or twennyrevlights if you remember that `handle` are inherently unstable and completely entertaining and ironically, in complete control most of the time (although losing it periodically).

A welcome addition in my books.

God, he looks so good! Great to see both of them healthy and happy!
(This pic reminds me of pics of them at Leah Woods wedding (08) where Patti wore this same dress. She was ill then and Keith wasn't his best either. If you compare those pictures to this picture the difference is astonishing).

The news comes after the band gathered in a London studio in December and played together for the first time since the final night of the marathon two-year Bigger Bang tour in August 2007. Making the occasion even more special, former bassist Bill Wyman sat in for the first time since he left in 1992. "We played a lot of blues and outtakes of Some Girls and things like that," says Jagger. "It went very well."
Absolutely GREAT!!!

RollingStone Magazine, June 7, 2012: "one live concert to mark their 50th anniversary."

RevvyStoned Magazine, April 9, 2012: [i1102.photobucket.com]

1) Stones Planet Brazil reports thusly, May 29, via Google translation:
"...testing could occur for a show, maybe at the Marquee, reminding cérebre
submission of 12 July 1962. Too bad the original Marquee no longer exists, but
this is only a possibility, it is not necessary that any new show takes place in
the Marquee."

2) Stones Planet Brazil continues: "confirms the information Stones Planet
Brazil said that the Stones did trials in New Jersey, leaving us free to reveal
that the sessions took place in the Tangerine Remastering, a small studio"

3) Tangerine Mastering is located at 1801 Willow, Weehawken, NJ, but it is a
very small facility which could not have been used for recording or rehearsal.

4) However, also located at 1801 Willow are the HarariVille Recording Studios...

Owner Rob Harari is part of a music production partnership with (Mick Jagger and
Don Was collaborator) Carlos Alomar.

"HarariVille Recording Studios is conveniently located just 1.25 miles from
midtown Manhattan via the Lincoln Tunnel. Our historic building has evolved into
an independent arts complex that attracts a wide range of talent – from local
bands to internationally acclaimed performers."

5) On May 4 (while these recording/rehearsal sessions were ongoing!),
SuperRevvy reported thusly (in the "name the new album" thread) :

They are?

How about: "We Hawkin' Some New Jams"

6) Yes, that's right, while the sessions were still ongoing I posted a pic
of 1801 Willow, Weehawken. Cock-a-doodle-doo!
