I don't think that's true. When I first bought it, I just got it because I was collecting all the Stones albums, I didn't even know some of the album was recorded at El Mocambo. I bet most casual fans who buy it don't know, and might not even care of the where/when it was recorded. And the hardcore fans would have it in their library regardless of the entire shows being released because it's part of the official catalog, and most people want to have all of that.
We're only talking about 4 songs from a double album. Those El Mocambo songs are probably the tracks I've listened to the least. For me one of the biggest draws was the only official live recording of "Star Star", before Brussels Affair and Texas '78 that is. But there are some other good songs on there too.
