yeah, but that's not a stones concert...just mick, ron, keith with muddy and his band...and it does NOT demonstrate the lads in very good form at all...

April Wine might have released one as a live record; and I think Elvis Costello released a live show from there, too.

they did; and he did.

SRV too

Argh, hope it's not the 1981 club gig. It's well preserved on bootleg allready, and even though Muddy is great, Rolling Stones ain't up to par - as Tod says. Rolling Stones with Muddy Waters in 1978 on the other hand....

That Muddy Stones video is uploaded by a fan. I think it's cool that the official Stones Facebook/Twitter promotes fan-uploaded (technically illegal) material, but to promote the next vaults release, they'd probably link to something more official.

Think it'll come out the next days - maybe Jan.15.

Just hope it will be somehting new or half-new (like Brüssel).
Not one of those already much bootleged shows. The next release will be a hint what we have to expect in the future.
Have to say I'm really curious . .

Well, as somebody who doesn't really collect bootlegs, I'll probably be happy with whatever they give us. I only have 2 bootlegs, the Ft. Worth '97 show and Back Strap Jacket. And I'd still love to have either of those (especially Ft. Worth since I was there and the sound quality of the bootleg isn't great) cleaned up and professionally mixed.

I'd really like to have Atlantic City 1989. That was a pretty good show, Woody was fantastic on his playing with Start Me Up.

My hope is for the entire Brixton show. One of their (by most accounts) most memorable shows, but never available in top quality sound.

The best Stones boot ever is Hampton 1981. Nothing sounds that good.

Do you suppose it will be near 80 minutes again, like Brussels Affair? It was so clean and fit so perfectly on one disc. Or will they give us more this time?

Sounds as though your up for a totally remastered FLAC version of Live Licks in that case. Careful what you wish for!

Hmm, whatever it is going to be, always someone complaining...can´t understand that really...me I´m happy that they decided to release stuff from the archives. Brussels II was not circulated, so I´m hoping for the rest to surprise me. And if these releases go down well (sell) with the fans, I can´t see the reason why they won´t continue to release more stuff.

Since someone is apparently paying attention and maybe counting votes...when it comes right down to it I'd love to get...

1)any complete '69/'70 show
2)Perth 1973 (the 2nd best bootleg after Brussels)
3)El Mocambo
4)Brixton

1. Any 1970 euro show, no shows available
2. Altamont
3. New york complete 1969, or a rare 1969 show
4. Any aussie show from 1973

Can somebody please explain to me the desire to have the Altamont show? Many requests/suggestions for it. To me that would be an awful show to release. Aside from the fact it would kind of be in poor taste given what happened, it would be pretty musically poor wouldn't it? What with the starting and stopping of songs while they try to calm down the crowd. It's historically significant, but just watch Gimme Shelter. Altamont is the LAST concert I want to be part of this series. Much like the whole concert was marred by the various events that transpired, I think the bootleg would be too. Why not a complete show from the '69 tour that didn't involve all the other crap?

If you disregard the cruel events and the interruptions, the music is groovin' on that show. They played really well when they actually played. There's a good audience boot from it, and it's a not a comfy listen because of the constant interruptions (both the band stopping and the taper getting pushed around) and sad atmosphere, but it's very interesting and the musical parts are great, imho.

Not sure, though, if it would be a good idea to release this officially. If they'd release 50 shows -- yes -- but if only a handful, then there's plenty of other great tracks from '69 alone.

My hope is "El Mocambo 1977" uncut full gigs. Both!

Mocambo is an absolute must!

Whatever it is it's probably ready to upload. Since it's due around the 21st? Based on the 2 month intervals we've read about. I'm hoping for El Mocambo too.smileys with beer

If this is anything to go by it sounds like an already known bootleg and not a unreleased gig, which I was hoping for.
