Now, I definitely know I don't have this Stefaan. Question I have is, would this cost me more or less than a ticket to 02?

Thanks Treacle,
For the heads up on Brians Trousers ! I now certainly will not look at that cover te same again. LOL . Also the Flowers cover and Brians stem having no leaf's raises discussion does it not , about him being dead or a joke by Mick and Keith. Similar vain as Paul and the Abbey Road cover.

The Flowers cover and Brian's lack of leaves says just about everything about his place in the band.

He was completely plucked.

I've already posted this on the Doom & Gloom vinyl thread...but for those that might not read it there...

OK, for all those of you who've tried to pre-order this, I've been able to successfully on amazon.ca

mind you you'll have to pay shipping if you order from outside Canada

OK, just received this today, and while new, yes, it may in fact be considered fairly rare...or grrrare! to be a little more accurate:

Not inexpensive, 84 Euros, plus 4.50 shipping to Canada but I haven't seen it priced better, courtesy Amazon.de. Thank you Deutschland!

Sweeeeeet treacle... thanks for sharing... man you have some fun stuff.

I should leave my collection to you, when I go, you seem most deserving of it.

Wow Boston, you're so consistent in picking up the obscurities. When is the museum opening anyway?! Or will it be the new 'themed' restaurant, "Lets Spend The Night Together"?!

I'll take it!

But I'm definitely far from the most deserving of it!

It says RCA on the back, I think it is official.
I got it years ago, from my fav local record store (long closed now),
it is not really rare, or valuable... but I like it a lot smiling smiley

This time of year is when I get out all my fun crap, like this,
and go through it all, just to looky.... and man it is really cool.
If I didnt own most of it... I would want it.... so that is a win, eh?

Very cool Max. Kind of a riot to see a snowy Graceland. I think that's happened once since I moved here in '06. smoking smiley

It has only snowed there once since 2006? Really? I thought Memphis got snow as much as us, but then again, Memphis is a state lower. I do recall one time we drove from KC to StLouie then down to Memphis and the weather was surprising warmer pretty fast. Went to a show at The Daisy theater, next day to Nashville for the Stones... anyway... no snow eh?

I've bought WAY too much Stones stuff this fall, as well as the Beatles vinyl box. Most of it unopened, except for the Charlie is My Darling box set.

I'm planning on doing the 'looky' as well after the holidays start!

About once a year (maybe 2X) we get a "dusting" of about a half an inch - everyone goes nuts, schools are cancelled, advisories are issued, and so on. But no - as a rule - no snow. It can happen but very rare that we'd get enough snow to frost Graceland.
winking smiley Remember - Memphis is basically the armpit of TN. We're only 10 miles from Mississippi. I say that with all the love I can muster for the Mid-South.

p.s. As it was pointed out to me - were not just "in" the bible belt - we're the damn buckle. smoking smiley

I find I have to keep my 'office' where ev'ry thing is located in pretty organized state otherwise I'd never find anything. I learned you can find a lot of space in any room, by going UP!

OK, Doom and Gloom 10" vinyl finally arrived!

A couple of questions for ya...this is the Jeff Bhasker mix...how is that different, if at all, from what we're already used to?

Was this either the iTunes or youtube version, or something different again?

Also, is this the only 10" the Stones ever released? I can't think of another one.

Bill Wyman's " Willie And The Poor Boys " is a 10 "

There is no indication of 33 or 45 rpm on the Gloom And Doom vinyl so when I plaid it for the first time I just put it on 33 rpm. Woow. Try it, a fantastic slow blues. The singing is a bit off but not too much

There are more:
Rolling Stones - Beat Beat Beat (German 10" ) - 1965
Rolling Stones - Charlie Is My Darling (Deluxe box set included a 10" of England'65) - 2012

also related:
Charlie Watts - From One Charlie (box set) - 1991
Willie And The Poor Boys - These Arms Of Mine/Poor Boy Boogie/Baby Please Don't Go - 1985

Best

Jan, is this an entirely new mix, or one of the first two, or can you tell?

I'd ask Boston as well, but he obviously won't be opening his!
