Good luck to The Worst and everyone.
I think our very Stones-knowledgeable kid from iorr.org is no 20 in line, and he slept/spent the night on the pavement after travelling from Oslo, Norway. If that's not young enthusiasm!?
Good luck everyone - Keith will be with you in 2 hours or so.

I'm really starting to look forward to next week in Paris now!
Just hope the French won't start another wild strike while we're there, marketing Keith's book in the French territory.
If nobody's told him by then that CindyC loves him - I promise I will!

All the best to all the IORRians in the Keith-queue...now that you are getting towards the business-end of your long, long day: enjoy it!

Looking forward to that team-photo too!

I second SimonN's thoughts, hope the first 100 people have duly rehearsed their choice one liner when face to face with KR!

Yes, a team photo with our Keith, perched somewhere in the middle,
would be marvellous.

The Worst now has his signed copy. Jane Rose took a photograph of him and Keith shaking hands - BIG smiles. Now he's exhausted after 18 hours in a queue.
But CONGRATULATIONS to The Worst and everyone!

Paulywaul and Beast, sounds like you are in for the signing!!
Congrats to you, let us know, of course. Did you exchange
a few words with the author?

Is there a booksigning in Paris?

The question I may hate myself for asking is did everybody get to meet Keith or was it oversubscribed?

There's 3 days of meet the press - from Brazil, Europe - all territories except the US.
Signing might not happen in Paris. Sorry.
IF it's happening - IORR.ORG will be the first place to look for news in advance.

Re: Keith London book Signing

I can confirm that Paulywaul, Beast, Mr Jimmy, Silver Dagger were all successful in having their books signed. I went over to Waterstones after work and was happy just to be able to have a glimpse of Keith as he continued to sign books which in itself wasn't easy due to the security supposedly not allowing anyone anywhere near without a wristband. He must have signed well in excess of te original estimates of a 100 to 150 copies, so good on him! Photos to follow when Silver Dagger gets home.....

Do we have pictures of those who spent the night out and did not eventually get to meet Keith ? That would be worth a look!

What a day, up at 4:00 and in the queue by 5:10 - but all worth it. Got my signed copy, shook hands with the great man, exchanged a few words (said I hoped that many a stage would be graced by his presence next year, he replied by saying he hoped so too), and now I'm home and gonna take a cuppa tea and a certain book to bed with me for what may well turn out to be an early night ... even with the best of intentions I don't think I'll be able to stay awake too much longer !!

But what a fun day, thanks and praises to Beast, Mr Jimmy, Silver Dagger, Monkeytonkman, Sonicdreamer, Mattleeuk & others for helping make it so. And thanks to Manofwealthandtaste for popping into the store around 6:00 pm and taking some silly "group photos" of us lucky and happy souls, with luck they'll be posted on this thread in due course.

Hats off to Pauly in Royal measure for giving me the positive encouragement to persevere through the crazy morning traffic in London and get me into that queue.

I just made the cut for meeting The Man in person, getting my book signed and shook his hand.

150 people with gold wristbands got to meet Keith, with 110 people with black wristbands. I had black wristband number 106 and I think there was four people after me who got to meet KR. I never expected to meet him so I was really, really chuffed to understate the case.

The rest of the people with the remaining wristbands up to number 450 were able to collect a pre-signed copy, but NOT meet Keith.

Great to meet so many IORRers in the queue too!!!

Cheers,
SonicD
