Sophia Loren? Sounds like a joke. I mean, after all this time no one has ever mentioned these tracks in any books or on bootlegs. Can't wait to be proved wrong though.

Maybe Jagger has reworked the lyrics on some tracks, like for So Young in 1994.
I mean ... hopefully not.

Put me down to being thrilled about three Exile tracks I have never heard or even heard of. Very excited.

If that is true you have to be kidding me....with the wealth of vault material at their disposal that is the be best they can do? three bonus tracks??!!

If that is really what they are going to release it just confirms for me we will never see any of the stuff in the vault as long as Mick is alive.......

let's revolt - and storm the vaults!!!

It might be 3 new tracks, and the rest of the bonus disc is made up of alternate versions. Don't read too much into it yet.

The bit in Uncut looks like it says "including," but does not say that is all. I can't imagine the three extra tracks will be the only bit. I think there will be extra discs. Alt. takes, and hopefully live stuff. There's so much of that stuff out there. If they wanna make $$ off this release, that's what they'll do.

Who cares about three extra tracks that weren't good enough to make the album? This re-issue should offer much more than that.

If the Stones are going to use this as an excuse to tour behind they should just give it up now.

........didn't someone at ABCKO (one of Klein's kids) basically kill the idea of the vaults being opened in the near future just recently????

Great to hear some news about this release, but only 3 unreleased tracks is very disappointing. I was (and am) expecting at least a disc full of music from the vaults.
Let's wait and see...

Cant see why there's such an outrage. I doubt there were too many unreleased finished songs. It was a double album with 18 songs after all - many of which were leftovers from as far back as 1969.

What did some people expect? Two or three albums worth of unreleased, finished songs that were shortlisted for release in '72 and dropped at the last minute? Thats not how the Stones work. They tend to work on several songs, leaving most of them unfinished before concentrating on the songs that are likely to be released.

Even if thats the only three unreleased songs, I'm sure there would be several alternate versions of the songs that WERE released.

This is very odd. No mention of the aforementioned 3 "unreleased songs", but, after the 18 Exile tracks it lists 19. Rocks Off 20. Happy 21. Tumbling Dice. Perhaps the 3 "unreleased songs" are just early versions (with working titles) of these songs?? Doesn't quite make sense, though, because I though Keith came up with Happy very quickly.

You read what Keith said about he and Mick listening to the extra material it gives a hint that there is a decent bit - let's say 5 tracks - that were considered but not finished for the album.

Their reasons for not putting finished tracks on said album from said album sessions needs not to be pointed out. We've known for a long time now that they'll ignore or purposely wait to release something later because of the flavour of the year, whatever rage is going on style wise (obviously these all point to Mick) or they've done way too much studio time on one song (ala Start Me Up) that they forget what all they have done - and obviously no one was taking notes.

We know that some of the songs on Exile are from the Sticky Fingers sessions as far as recording goes. At least from all I've ever read, that's as far back as the recordings go. How far back the songs go, that's different. To use someone's bit, Sweet Virginia wasn't good enough to go on Sticky Fingers. So they plunked it on Exile. Plus a few others.

So who knows what else is there. It just seems that there would be more than 3!
