why why why didn't Bruce do this during the European leg of the tour?I wanna hear one of those albums in their entirety.

Anyway, obviously there's no one putting on better shows than Bruce at this moment.I wish there were more performers like him but the guy is so way ahead of everyone else that it's not even funny.

Yeah, pretty cool of him to write a new song just for the occasion of these shows. These shows will literally bring the house down when he's done.smiling bouncing smiley

thanks sweetcharmedlife. I see there are some rumours about solo or sessions tour next year.I'd love to see that but hope he comes back with the e street band fairly soon.

I am sure he has another masterpiece album in him.Magic was downright brilliant and Working on a dream was a decent follow-up with some amazing arrangements.

Well he's on record as saying the E-Street Band will be on hiatus for a while. Probably a few years. They've been touring for almost 3 years straight.

As always, purely a matter of taste, but I believe you have these two albums backwards...Magic was an OK follow-up to The Rising, and WOAD is brilliant...LOL

Yes I suppose we have been very lucky to have had Bruce & ESB on the road for the past 3 years.Without a doubt the greatest live act on the planet . I have seen him at the Emirates , Hampden Park & Ford Amphitheatre Tampa over the past 16 months and each show was amazing with the band able to play anything that's thrown at them.
Only one band can get near to them , yes, the Stones, so hopefully something will happen next year or else a long wait for Bruce & ESB..............................

A full pro-shot video of the new song "Wrecking Ball" from the second GS show is now available on Bruce's official website:

BTW, isn't that a Stones song being played over the PA at the beginning?

Yeah it does sound like a Stones song. Can't make out which one though. Something from the early days.

Can't imagine Mick ever doing this.

I saw the Bruce show last night at GS and U2 last week at GS. Bruce kicked U2's ass...and at half the price.

With the ecomonic meltdown, which has touched many members of this beloved forum and extended family, it's awesome to see a great American have overwhelming trust in his fans. I'm simply proud.

Thanks SCL. Thanks.

I'm confused...crowd surfing does take a little bit of trust in the audience holding up their end of the bargain, but what does that have to do with the economic meltdown?

Re: OT:Bruce Springsteen 2009

Here is why. Folks here in America are suffering -losing homes, portfolios etc..
The Boss has been a force in uniting America. This has nothing to do with politics. It's about citizens joining together in trust for a common good.

And if he can do it so can we.

Commissioner.

Evidently it also takes some stage direction. Since it looked like they were about to send him somewhere towards Delaware before he said "towards the stage". But hey he's in Jersey. Their not the smartest people in the world.winking smiley

Source: Bruce Springsteen . Net

"A brand new Bruce Springsteen song, "Wrecking Ball," in honor of the imminent demolition of the longtime home of giants and Giants, acknowledged Bruce's having turned sixty last week. Near the end of the show, during "Growin' Up," Bruce recounted to Clarence a bad dream he had last week, his worst ever, in which he found himself at home, surrounded by a houseful of relatives, in front of a cake with sixty candles. Some bad dream! We should all grow up with his energy and aplomb."

League Office acknowledges concern, however, calm is the rule.

Comish.

Last I checked, there are at least three Ivy League colleges within 100 miles of the Meadowlands. So there are lots smart, educated people nearby, and they also happen to attend Springsteen shows.

And they also know how to spell "they're" correctly, you stupid bastard. Where did you attend (it's too much to think that a moron like you would ever graduate from college)? Penn State? Temple? Dreksell? Or did you even get a GED, you stupid Eagle-fan donkeyf-cker?

I guess your college education didn't include a sense of humour.
