There are quite a few shots of the Monkees recording at RCA Studios in Hollywood. I'm sure there are others as well.

What's the address on the building where the "Have You Seen Your Mother" photo shoot was taken? Is that 124 or 126? Also, what street was it on?

And so it appears that the cool juke joint on Main Street in Exile is now just a pet day care center attached to a parking garage.

Great Exile research!

Went to Marrakesh last month and inspired by the Cecil Beaton images in "ON CAMERA, off guard" I visited the Es Saadi hotel that the Stones lived at in 1967. Didn´t have the originals with be so they don´t match completely, but I guess you can spot the places in my cubistic image winking smiley Es Saadi today is still somewhat upscale, but in a "older glory" way.

A superb thread; discovered it just now. Incredible idea! And execution.
I am struck at how much personality the streets have lost. Like Giuliani's NYC, it's all clean, and homogenized now, and really boring.

Soo..Big Hits cover was shot in Mayberry?

In celebration of Chris's (hbwriter) new book, this thread from 2009 has some nice London shots. Too bad that HisMajesty's great photos have been deleted!
