I have always loved GHS since the first time i played it thru.About 1990. People say it is a weak album,I dont think so.It's the Stones in Jamaica in 1972,that is where there head was at at the time and I dig it. 100 Years Ago Winter Star Star, what else is there to say,I think alot of Stones fans get to hung up on comparing it to Exile, too bad, because both albums stand on there on.

Just got off of work,a lot of good points.I did not know it was recorded in 76,what is the source on that? Also love all the different guitars in Baby I Love You.A slide break,a acoustic break and finally a proper lead on the fadeout, got to love it.

QuoteBarn Owl It's funny how bands who consistently out-perform and out-sell the Stones are not popular around here! Oh and by the way, does anyone have a postage stamp so I can write down all of the wonderful causes that Mick and 'the boys' have bothered their arses to get involved with over the years. Nicaragua apart, they've been too busy posing and postulating to get

It would be great during his 2 songs he kept his hands on his guitar the whole time For two contrasts look at Little Tan A on LSTNT an Hampton 81 and then look at it on SAL an the Biggest Bang.In my mind I hope it's just a decline in playing then just being lazy.PS on that I'm Ready clip Keith is singing and you see he keeps voicing the chords while he is playing like is he conflicte

Am I the only one that thinks Bono sounds like he is singing one long song over an over, and the Edge is playing two chords over an over with the delay pedal of course, That being said I dont think U2 is all that great, everything sounds similar IMHO.

I saw this tour at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta,It was awesome.Great guitars that night.I think everybody was in shock an awe at some of them shows that year. just happy to see the boys. Its kinda funny now how people compare stuff. For me the Stones were always in the moment, all 45years.I let each era stand alone,I really don't compare era's. They were just doing their thing and it happ

I think Ronnie neads to solo after Keith..to keep it interesting on the next tour,or mabye drop it altogether.

I do agree with the vocals being better in the current live version of T-an A..than the 81/82 version, but Keiths playing on the verses in 81/82 is pure Keith.

It is a bit of a letdown. If Keith would just play the guitar the whole tune instead of Blondie,it could be saved, like someone said the 81/82 version cooked, Raw guitars at its best.

That's how i heard it in the mid 80s,I think some people in their heads want to put the murder and the song together because of the whole Devil image thing. It was'nt til I got into the Stones myself that I found out about Under My Thumb. I wonder how they felt rehearsing the song for the 81 Tour?
