Top Three Solo Tunes

Could be both Micks, Keith, Bill, Ronnie or The Charlie Watt's Orchestra even. Pick your top three solo tunes. Here's mine.

"Evening Gown" MJ
"Wicked As it Seems" Keith
"Seven Days" Ronnie

Alternate guilty pleasure "Si,Si Je Suis Un Rock Star". Sorry those tinkling syths just kind of stick in your head!

If Winos count, should we include Faces? Would be fair...

Anyway:
1) Rockawhile
2) I Could Have Stood You Up
3) Whip It Up (Live)

Faces was a band. Keith Richard & The Expensive Winos was more of a Keith solo project

Keith:
Take It So Hard
How I Wish
Demon

Mick:
Throwaway
Evening Gown
Don't Tear Me Up

Of course, Keith has more - there's hardly a half bad one in the lot - both albums are excellent. Mick though - he's got some loafs (ha ha). I liked Say You Will but the synths in it ruin it. Most of Boss is bad but I always liked Lucky In Love and Secrets. Spirit is the best though - Hang On To Me Tonight is exceptional as well, plus Wired All Night and Put Me In The Trash.

Ronnie - I only have Slide On Live. I've found his albums - a friend of mine has several (the one that says Ronnie Woods with the line through the S) and I've always found him difficult to...listen to.

Thankfully, nobody's chosen State of Shock.

Perhaps the nadir of my relationship with the Stones music and musicians.

I forgot all about "State of Shock". Was it written by a three year old? Man, if we wanted to go negative it has to be one of the worst songs with Stones involvement doesn't it?

I like this myself...

Not sure how many people here are aware, but this was originally recorded as a duet between Michael Jackson & Freddie Mercury. (Un)fortunately they fell out, so Mick Jagger overdubbed Freddie's parts. The Michael Jackson / Freddie Mercury duet remains unreleased...& here it is:

Great question!

Mine are the same as everyone else

Seven Days
Hate It When You Leave
Evening Gown
Could Have Stood You Up

I forgot about We Had It All. I think I'll put that in place of Evening Gown.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think it would put a neat spin on shows that can be somewhat predictable to throw in a Ronnie, Keith or Mick solo tune on occassion. Cast aside the egos mates, I think the Stones could do a helluva job on "Evening Gown", "Could Have Stood You Up" or "I Can Feel the Fire" to name three. Keith, Mick and Ronnie certainly include Stones songs in their solo shows.

I agree, but I think the biggest obstacle would be Keith...
