Why is everyone shocked that rods doing a stadium tour. He has done them before. His last UK tour at the end of last year ended in 4 nights at Earls court. That was the better part of 80,000 in London alone. Is it just me or are most the people on this board pescemistic

A UK stadium with the roof shut is still useless in the winter. There is no heating and they freeze. I've been to several gigs in winter at the Mellenium stadium in cardiff and they are colder than a whitches tit! the size of the building makes them impossible to heat and the roof just means its never heats up during the day.

Live i prefer van hagar (except in 2004, eddie van halens fault) but the first albums were the best. Gary cherone wasn't to bad but they cancelled the uk shows and i never saw them then. I saw David lee roth solo in early 2004 at the hammy odeon and it was a pathetic show by a man far to old to contiune pretending its still 1981. Maybe i'm the pathetic old man or drunk right now!

I saw Van Halen on the 2004 tour a few times. When Eddie was sober he was brilliant. The last show i saw you could see him drinking wine out the bottle behind the stage and he just jammed the entire set, he appeared to have forgotten the music and how to play properly. The other band members including his brother gave him bad looks throughout the show and you could tell they were pissed at him.
