We're going to Amsterdam on the 29th for a long weekend & to see Genesis on July 1st. This could get tricky !!

This site is a ticket broker, so the actual ticket prices should (hopefully) be considerably less than this. I just find it amazing that they seem to have details on different seating level prices which they are happy to put on their website whilst we are given no details at all via the "Official" channels.

599 Pounds must be for a special weekend arrangement including hotel (and the new 45 Licks Live DVD/CD)?!

Those ticket prices sound freaky to me. Who or what the hell is this globaleventsdirect company? How can they sell tickets before there is even a date for an official announcement ?
Another thing I found out. They sell tickets for a U2 show at the Stade de France on June 15. If this comes true that would be the end of the speculations of a Stones show one day after that, right?
So, this rumour - or is it "news"?) are a bit confusing to me....

They are an independent ticket broker. Don't buy any tickets from them!

Absolutely agree....DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THESE BROKERS...it is just so annoying that you have to find out about tour dates from adverts in the Sunday paper when there has been nothing at all on rollingstones.com.
I for one am not paying £150 a ticket again, let alone £599. There is a limit to my loyalty.

I can't wait and will happily pay up to £1,000,000 for a ticket.

It also says on there that "date and venue may change".

Where did you get that rumors from ? Read nothing about this here. All I know is that The Who are to play in Paris Bercy in June ( tickets are still not on sale ) as it is advertized on the Front of Bercy. But anyway, I agree that if U2 is to play in June, no much room will be left for The Stones that month.

June 30th? The same date as Rod Stewart's playing Twickenham? Doubt it.

The Paris U2 date is on the site of the same broker. And it doesn't say "date or venue may change", so this seems to be fixed. That would mean no Stones show on June 16 at Stade de France.

How big is the new O2 centre? I still think much more likely to play the new Wembley Stadium 2 nights, if it happens at all

This doesn't seem likely that the stones will done a single show in London to 23,000 when everywhere else in Europe is rumored to be stadiums

Dont forget that a lot of the places they are playing this summer are places they didnt get to last year, so demand will be high. But they did two shows at twickenham stadium only 5 months ago, so unless its wembley stadium, they might struggle to fill a london stadium, not that there are many available for rock concerts. The 02 centre is now the biggest indoor music venue in london, and probably the uk, so perhaps they will do a couple of nights there?

Yeah, me too. But then again: for only about 10Mio Bucks payed directly to the Stones you can have them play in your garden themselves, so maybe we should consider that...

ups...didn't mean to be sarcastic...

surely they could play Earls Court.. it's bigger than the 02 that that isn't the largest venue as someone said and also they haven't played it in years

great sound there too

Earls Court holds about 18,000, and the acoustics are awful.

it's not. The O2 actually holds 23,000 for an event 'in the round', making it bigger than the MEN Arena in Manchester as the biggest indoor venue in the UK, and as far as I know, it will also be the biggest covered arena in Europe. For other events it can hold around 20,000.

that that isn't the largest venue as

for a very good reason. It's a shithole.

Yeah..if youre out on the street or stuck in the Tube. The sound is awful and the sightlines are worse, Unquestionably the WORST venue in London for a concert.

Isn't the 02 Centre located on Finchley Road, Hampstead?

As other people have remarked, you shouldn't pay any attention whatsoever to the quoted ticket prices. They are fictitious and nonsensical. What you're looking at are nothing more than various London or UK based ticket agencies that are merely speculating at the moment. They've copped a "rumour" of a date, and it may well turn out to be true, but at THIS PARTICULAR MOMENT IN TIME, ALL THEY ARE DOING IS SPECULATING. In that respect, advertising non existent tickets for sale is just one of the stupid games they play to (a) wind you up, and (b) try and entice you into paying them money up front for tickets that they MAY (and please note the word MAY) obtain in due course - if their speculation turns out to be correct.

If you fall for this shit before waiting for something resembling a serious or official announcement to emerge, be it either on HERE (IORR) or www.rollingstones.com, then you're an idiot and it could be argued that you deserve everything you might get. So people, please DON'T fall for it !!

I could believe the O2 date in principal.
Don't forget that they may be intending to do a couple of other provincial dates in the UK too. The 02 thing wouldn't make sense as an only date, but as one of two or three, it could.

The Scissor Sisters and Justin Timberlake, both have concerts confirmed for the O2 Arena, this coming summer.
It would be of no real suprise if The Stones folowed suit.

Easily accesible from London Waterloo (15 mins on Jubilee Line underground)..easier than Wembley, for sure.

My guess would be, not a substitute for Wembley but an addition.

B.T.W- as an asside, Twickenham Stadium has been granted by the local authorities, 5 licences for prospective concert slots, this summer...
