QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteTravelinMan QuoteEleanor Rigby Ok, im confused. Is it Taylor on the album version playing the rhythm guitar? That extended version sounds great. But there are quotes about Keith putting the final guitar on it. It's Taylor on the album too, and he goes into that more complex rhythmic playing in the fadeout on the album. I have the feeling the "Extended Ve

QuoteMathijs QuoteTaylor1 This Bitch alternate validates that it’s Taylor , not Keith on the rhythm guitar and he is playing the famous riff.Maybe he should have gotten a writer’s credit like Wood got for One Hit to the Body You should stop your constant focus on Taylor...According to you just about every part is played by Taylor and he should have received writing credits for just about every

QuoteStonedRambler You can all say I‘m wrong but I actually think the 2023 Racket version is the best live rendition they‘ve ever doneEveryone has their own tastes, but 1973Brussels, 1977 El Morocco, 1989!Atlantic City IMO are way better.

QuoteHTD QuoteTurner68 They've never done it well live, and so sadly as a result for a lot of fans it isn't respected as much as it should be. But if you go back and listen to the studio track, it's perfect. The drumming, the vocals (esp the female vocals), the words, the riff... this is the rolling stones, rolling. I think I have to agree. Even the '72 tour live versions

Never knew Taylor was a full member of the band when he quit.According to Wyman, in June1975 , when the Bley /Bruce band broke up, he made overtures to the Stones about rejoining but was rebuffed by Mick and Keith.I wonder if the board issues had anything to do with it.More likely, they liked what Wood was doing on the 1975 tour which was underway at the time.

QuoteMathijs QuoteTaylor1 QuoteMathijs QuoteTaylor1 Is it Taylor on acoustic? Sounds like his playing on Sweet Black Angel It doesn't sound like anything Taylor has ever played. It sounds like a couple of dozen acoustic tracks played by Richards. QuoteMathijs QuoteTravelinMan One thing about playing around with deconstructed tracks is you hear how absolutely locked in these guys were with one another. Well yeah, that's logical if you spent 3 days recording a second rhythm track, which is what Keith did on most of the Stones records. They recorded a basic tracks, and then spend the next months recording multiple rhtyhm tracks, ove

QuoteBig Al QuoteTaylor1 The Beatles stopped touring in1966 , but still made some of their best albums after that.A lot of people think Sgt.Pepper or Abbey Road was their best album. Yes, but the Beatles were at their creative peak; the Stones are multiple decades past theirs! What are you seriously suggesting?[/quoteWell, you never know what can come even from aged artists.

QuoteGasLightStreet When Angry came out for me it was a fantastic blast of optimism. When the album came out it was instantly better than the previous 6 albums. Feeling the same about this one based on the first two songs available, with In The Stars being the most interesting of the two. Hopefully the last single comes out before July 10.I like Hackney Diamonds a lot, excellent album, but IMO

Are their any Italian inspired love songs by Mick on the album, which have been influenced by his time living in Tuscany and Sicily?

When the album was announced, I thought it might have songs outside the band’s usual musical freeway.Music like Italian love song inspired by Mick living in Italy. Or Moroccan music like Continental Drift .Or Irish music like the Long Black Veil.

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteTaylor1 Quotebabyblue QuoteStonedRambler The best thing Mick could do would announce a solo tour. That would piss off Keith so much that's he would commit to a whole world tour again Or get a guitarist to replace Keith and tour as stonesKeith is the Rolling Stones.Without him there is no band Eh, people said that about Charlie.
