QuoteMathijs No truth to any audition story's for replacing Brian Jones. Mick Taylor was recommended by Ian Stewart, a call was made to John Mayall, Taylor met the Stones and played a session with them, and that was it. MathijsWasRy Cooder ever considered as a replacement for Brian

Quotestonesurvive ........how about this...Roy Buchanan. an incredible blues guitarist, was asked to join the Stones in 1971..he turned them down!!!!That is obviously not true because in 1971 Taylor hadn’t quit the band and there is no way they would have fired him to be replaced by that guy after Taylor’s contributions live and in the studio in 1969 and on Sticky Fingers

I like the If You Can’t Rock Me/Get Off My Cloud from the 1975 tour with blistering lead guitar from Wood better than these slow down mannered performances

I like the 1972 -1978 fast versions way better. The song is not supposed to be sexy. The faster versions bring out the meaning of the lyrics.I even like the Johnny Winter live versions better than the 1969 live versions

It’s not rocket scienceWith my app you can separate all the instruments yourself and make your own mixes.I took off the drums, horns piano and vocals on Loving Cup and it sounds like a different song .You

QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteTaylor1 I used my app. to isolate an acoustic guitar on Waiting on a Friend .You can clearly hear the acoustic guitar , especially after 2.29.So there are at least two maybe 3 guitars on the song plus the bass which Taylor may have played Is it possible for you to post that here, or on youtube? Thank you in advance. I am unable to post it but check out Moises ai. A

Steel Wheels would be a good candidate for a remix.Id like to hear outtakes from the Moroccan sessions with the Pipes of Pan.Continental Drift is my favorite track on the album . It sounds like the song was cut down. It be cool to hear a longer version if one exists.

Quoterbk A remix of the vastly underrated IORR would be welcome. Something to bring air and openness to that stuffy sounding record. Also, there are other Guy Peelhardt portraits of the Stones that could be used on a “part 2.”When you isolate the instruments, especially the guitars they sound very distant and not clear. The clarity goes on and out.Maybe a remix would help

Quotemariano Since they don’t own the rights to the 1960s songs, I’d say it is most likely Emotional Rescue. There are no outtakes from IORR and Blackn Blue left over from earlier releases.Personally I’d like Bridges to Babylon deluxe, although the album was released only more thana quarter of a century ago

QuoteDandelionPowderman Keith played a wah through a Leslie on CYHTM. He played a Hi-Fli on TWFNO.Keith throughout his career has been amazingly diverse and inventive in his playing. His early playing on songs is so different from the slide period of the late 60s, and then all the other eras like his Leslie period

Quotematxil Quotevertigojoe I wonder if Mick really regrets his cheapness in not giving MT any songwriting credits. He drove him away by doing this i believe. Its a bit like a man having an affair with a beautiful young woman(Taylor), being inspired by her, wanting to be with her, but in the end opting to stay with his wife (Richards) despite the fact that the relationship is dead, he sure doesn

Quotekid killowatt We are all hardcore fans here, we just have different opinions on HD I think is their most cohesive album since Tattoo You, and coming from 80yr old guys with absolutely nothing to prove, makes it a better record than, let’s say, Undercover or Bridges. I didn't expect the album to be that good. I was afraid of Andy Watt’s involvement I admit. But I think the guy did a g
