Until I saw this video clip the other day I was ambivalent on going to see a show. That moment recaptured something that I did not realize I missed so much. It was something only MT could have done and it was sensational. This tour went from "do I see the Stones for the 20 something time" to "I can't wait to hear Mick Taylor play that" The thing is......was a one tim

QuoteMr. Jimi I listened to Sway from last night's show in the car today. I simply hooked up my phone and played the audio of the youtube video through my car speakers. (imagine that I'm cruising down the highway listening to last night's show, incredicle!) I thought it tighter than the previous tour versions, but damn Jagger 2013 can't seem to sing it all to well and the

Cool room....... I Think I have the same exact New Barbarians shirt. Are you wearing it backwards? On my shirt it had a "Hulk" like barbarian swing a club on the front. I got mine at Madison Square Garden and I think it had the Garden logo on it. Wow, thinking back I saw the Barbarians sometime in May of 1979.....I remember Keith taking the lead on Sweet Little Rock-n-Roller like

I met Keith and Charlie in 1992 at the Blue Note in Manhatten. Charlie was performing his "From one Charlie" with his quartet. My friend and I had an artical from the NY Post which was a review of Charlies show the night before. It had a picture of Charlie and the title was "Gaunt and Grey". We just walked right to the dressing room there was no security and Charlie was the

Philadlphia 1981 opening day...........They had to restart a few songs because everyones timing was off. I remember Keith saying he "regretted" the Stones performance that day..... A lot of the fans were there since the night before because it was general admission, so by the time the Stones got on in the afternoon people were drunk and tired and booing the Stones. It did't help

"All in the Family" Gloria has a bunch of albums in her hand (I think it was either sticky or let it bleed) and she says to her dad. "Were going to listen to records over "susies"house" and her dad says something about the music today being subpar. What kind of music are you listening to? She says "The Rolling Stones" and her dad says "I know all ab

Quotetumblingdice In the show Blossom, her Dad was a musician, piano I think, and they had parts of the show that referred to the character having played with the Stones. There was one episode where they had a scene where Mick calls to get him to play but the kid doesn't think it's really Mick Jagger....seems how it went. Been awhile now!!! There also was an episode of "Blossom&q

It ends like this...... There last concert together will be July 31ST 2043. They play every song they never played live in a 52 hour concert. While playing Prodical Son Keef curls up into a ball and crokes. Jagger, Charlie and Woody finish the song then Charlie and Mick kick the bucket. The next day Keef is creamted and we all snort a line of his ashes. Charlie and Mick are put into a ca

I hardly ever listen to the stones. I do enjoy listening to the covers by other artists, even amatures and the rare tracks like "reelin and rockin" that I found thru this message board. But truth be told, 9 times out of 10 switch the radio station when the stones come on. Just too much of an overload of information. Way to much small details,. the Prince Rupert book comes to mind.

Always has been a very interseting song. Has some amazing parts. I have to be in the mood for it to really get into it. I can't give it masterpiece status, the guitar parts seem dated. Makes me think it has a Billy Preston funk infulance. Was it a Mick song or a Keith song? My guess would be that Mick wrote it.
