And let's not forget the fantastic solos by Mick when he toured with Alvin Lee in '81. How many guitarists can stand next to Alvin ? Not many. Much respect to Mick from Alvin and Alvin from Mick and you can feel it in the songs they play.

What about "Fly Tomorrow" off of Blues from Laural Canyon. I always thought that was one of Mick's best solos."Mr. Censor Man' and "Parchman Farm" with Mayall are exceptional because of Taylor's solos, check them out. The live version of "Started walking" is a must for any fan. Also my favorite Stones solo has to be "Traveling Man".(Beca

Mick Jagger once made a cameo in an early McCloud T.V. apperance which also featured Hugh Hefner. In the one scene Jagger does is he walks in and catches Hugh and Dennis Weaver in bed together and he shouts out- "HEY HUGH GET OFF OF McCLOUD"!!

This is my favorite blues song the Stones ever recorded. Played alot in the style of "Down in the Bottom", Brian 's slide guitar is so beautifully played. It's to bad we dont have more recordings of Brian playing alot more songs like this with his Elmore James influenced style. I honestly believe that if Brian would of lived this style of blues is exactly what he would of done

Just as soon as Depp finishes his childhood fantasy of playing Barnabas Collins in the new Dark Shadows movie that goes into production this month sometime. This has been in the works for about 4 years so therefore due to his busy schedule I wouldn't count on Keith's documentary coming out any time soon. Can't wait to see how this pans out and I am hoping that we get "unseen&q

Not only is Johnny Winter my favorite guitarist of all time but he is the one that first opened my ears to the Stones. It was his apperance on Don Kirshner in 1973 that had me humming JJ Flash all the next day. A friend had told me what I was humming so at 11 years old I rode my bike to K Mart and bought my first Stones album- Get yer ya yas out- and my life has never been the same. I met John

This was my favorite song off of my first boot back in 1978 mainly because it wasn't included on Ya Yas. I totally love the mood and the different tempo from the original that they played on the early part of the '69 tour. I wish they wouldn't of dropped it. I was also dissapointed in the medley with Under my thumb because it lacked that melodic mood that the Oakland shows had. It

Excellent show! Wish the complete show would surface someday. This is my all time favorite show. 2 Taylor solos in JJ Flash and the Midnight Rambler improvision is a real treat for all of us Taylor fans. This makes me appreciate my original vinyl TMOQ record that much more. Thanks for sharing this gem.

QuoteEleanor Rigby Note: There is also some extra Altamont footage I have on DVD of the Angels & the crowd with the Jefferson Airplane playing "Other Side Of This Life"...which sounds completely different to the version on the Gimme Shelter movie!!!! ER I knew that I was not seeing things that day it was broadcast on cable back in the early 80's. I saw this footage as well

"The guitars were more up front and the seperation was the best I have ever heard." I want to add to this without causing speculation on what I believe I heard, because I am a hard-core 1969 fanatic and I am saying this to be true to what I believe I heard that day, but I heard guitar passages that I never heard before on certain songs on any other version of the film that I had seen

I am talking about a totally different sounding mix on all or most of the musical numbers. It was VERY evident as I remember. It was exactly as I explained it, a totally different mix. The guitars were more up front and the seperation was the best I have ever heard. It was so long ago and I had only seen it screened that one time on cable which is what prompted me to ask my fellow Stones collecto

I can recall that back in '82 or '83 watching Gimmie Shelter on either Showtime or HBO ( don't remember which premium cable station) that my friend and I were absolutely blown away watching it because it had a different soundtrack mix to the one that we saw many times before at all the midnight movie showings that we had been to. It may of even been a different version, but I can t

Without a doubt it's Keith that plays the over dubbed guitar on the acetate. Mick's solos on JJF from the tour has more flare and inspiration to them than Keith's overdub. I am glad that they didn't use the over dubbed version and released the no solo version as they did. It wouldn't of been right to NOT include the Taylor solo and substitute it with an over dub by Keith

I agree that this album is high energy rock and blues right in your face. Probably the most under rated live album ever. But Johnny also is terribly under rated as the great guitarist that he is. Words can't express the passion and intensity that you hear on "Good morning little school girl" with Johnny and Ricks interplay together. Pure adrenaline! Johnny's take on JJ Flash t

Hey if you guys want to hear the best version of J.J. Flash then listen to this Winter show from Winterland San Francisco on 4/30/76 taken from Wolfgangs vault. The solos from Johnny and Floyd Radford are breath taking. And Randy Jo Hobbs bass is kick-ass at the climax of the song. HIGH ENERGY ROCK N' ROLL!!

Cool download Scottkeef. Thanks for posting. This one has always been my favorite early Johnny Winter recording not just because it's soundboard but also because Johnny is just totally in great form on every note! I am sure that alot of fellow Stones fans appreciates that Johnny is not just a great fan of the Stones but has also turned alot of people onto the Stones including myself way back

Quotescottkeef Thanks for this as I was there at Dallas 75 and didnt have ANYTHING to "Deja Vu" with!! I'm from Beaumont originally and also LOVE the lightning fingered Johnny Winter. The only one I ever saw live that could keep up with him as far as speed was Alvin Lee(Ten Years After). Cool Scottkeef! I wish I could of made this show! I was only 13 at the time and didn't h

The Stones and Zeppelin are my all time favorites to collect ( besides Johnny Winter) so I have to let out somehow. I made it easier to view and save by seperating them. So here are the individual links to each segmen

Quotetexas fan By the way, though, if anyone is sitting on a tape from the Dallas show on July 6, please release it. I was there and, as I recall, it was a very good show, along the lines of the first LA show. Of course, it's been a while. It would be nice to see what it really sounds like... I have a friend that went to the show and filmed a silent color 8MM movie of the show. Although

I have this on an old boot called "Let it Breeze" and it IS from the David Frost show as it goes right into YCAGWYW. I compared the track to the December TOTPs show and it is not the same. I also ruled out any outakes that surface as you hear clapping before and after. The quality is not the best , it must of been taped during the original broadcast. Also the record has a few snap crack
