QuoteEdward Twining I agree completely, StonesTod. I often get the feeling Mick is mystified by the popularity of Exile because it does not consist of conventionally great songs in a commercial sense. In many ways Mick has become too conservative and safe in his options, choosing commercial success above creativity. However, success hasn't followed his well thought out plans. Maybe his ideal

I thought some of the montages for the individual tracks were quite interesting. Shine a Light, for eg, put together in a way that hinted the song was about Keith, which has always been my theory, rather than Brian.

Whatever the explanation for Keith's absence on the European circuit, respect to Mick who has worked like a trojan on promotion this past couple of days.

Such a great achievement. And I'm proud it's in their own country where they are supposed not to have their main fan base these days!

Miss you. What can I say? - I was a disco babe. Many, many other tracks I prefer now but I have to have a soft spot for this one, which made me listen to the Stones for the first time.

Others will know better, but isn't Charlie's gripe with being a Stone that he hates being away from home on tour? The joy of his current gigs is he can usually be driven back to the family, horses and dogs in the small hours. So I don't think he'll be expanding operations to another continent any time soon!

Mick is extremely interested in and well informed about fashion - not surprisingly given the amount of time he spends with models! A friend of mine sat next to him at a dinner and he named the designer of her dress (then an up and coming name) straight off as he admired it. My friend is gay and not a Stones fan but she said she understood something of Mick's charm as she had never come acr

Quotejohnhenry Many times. It was always a lot of fun. The best part was going to see Keith and hang out with him. The backstage in London was a huge lounge and had a special section for Keith's friends. The food was always amazing. Without the food comment I might have given you the benefit of the doubt.

Quoteelunsi Did he really ever publicly deny, that she is his daughter? Why else did he have contact to her if he denied that he was her father? And why would he give Marsha 150 000 dollar in the early 70ies, if he thaught that he was not her father? He certainly contested the affiliation proceedings (the method whereby maintenance for illegitimate children was obtained in the UK back then) and

QuoteBliss >>Mick did not deny, that he was married, he was not married. Jerry filed for divorce, but you canĀ“t get divorced when you are not married. Somebody explained that here some weeks ago. Jerry got exactly, what she was entitled to, and that was a lot They were together for 24 years, and had 4 children together. They had a formal marriage ceremony which Jerry believed was legal.

QuoteBliss I have to agree that Mick treated Jerry abominably. Highlights include his 8 year affair with Carla Bruni, whom he joined in Thailand just hours after his child was born, and the terrible way he denied he and Jerry were married, so she got a relatively tiny settlement, due to a legal technicality. But what goes around comes around. He was married to Bianca when he got involved with

Or maybe I am wrong. Yes you can't judge that whether he is fit or not by seeing the pictures. Right????? what is your thought????? Yep. Those photos surely spell the end for him. Imagine a 66 year old w

He's entitled to his opinion isn't he? The production values are very different on Exile than other Stones' albums, so it's perfectly rational for him to draw the distinction and then it's a matter of taste. Personally, I rate Exile least amongst the 'Big Four' of the great albums (it's still a great album) because the vocals sound so 'muddy' an

I know who they sleep with is nothing to do with the music, but having watched this girl on tv it does make me think less of Ronnie that this is the sort of girl - totally moronic on the evidence of the past two weeks - he likes to spend time with. He must be one sad old man.

QuoteSir Craven of Cottage Fantastic advert for clean living!!! Although Marianne, the same age and similar lifestyle choices, looks way better. To be honest she looks no more ravaged than Keith - men just get away with it more.
