Wrinkly rocker Keith Richards stayed away from Cannes after falling out with Mick Jagger about the way he has been promoting their film, Stones In Exile.

‘Keith thinks Mick is being arrogant and rude about the film, and that he rubbed a few people up the wrong way at its New York premiere by neglecting to thank them for their hard work,’ said a source about the feuding 66-year-old Rolling Stones bandmates.

Keith Richards was noticeably absent from the Cannes Film Festival, where the film Stones in Exile was screening, after falling out with bandmate Mick Jagger.

‘Mick and Keith almost had a punch-up at a party in New York and Mick’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott had to separate them.

‘Mick has been instructed to turn on the charm in Cannes and Keith decided not to come at all.’

Well, they've been rubbing each other up the wrong way since they met in Dartford. Nothing new, it seems.

I thought articles all along before Cannes began were saying it would only be Mick in attendance.

That may have happened but I can't imagine that if it was a really big falling-out, we'd be JUST hearing of it now . The press would have had pictures posted everywhere, especially on the internet.
