Do you have any statistics that support this claim?

Sure: EMCDDA
In Netherlands 32,2 % of all people between 15 and 34 years used canabis at a certain
moment in their live but only 9.5 % is a regular user.
In the UK these numbers are 40.1 % and 13.8 %.
In France 43.6 % and 16.6 %.
In Germany 37.5 % and 11.9 %.
Spain: 37.7 % and 18.8 %.
Sweden: 18.1 % and 4.8 % (OK, they score lower than the Netherlands)
Italy: 36.1 %^and 20.9 %.
These are European numbers, because they come from a European source.
I think they are quite convincing.

I'd rather a nice pint of real ale and a box of B&H Silver than a rotten 'joint', anyday. Most cannibis users smoke the 'skunk' variety these day - in fact, it;s all that is largly available here in the UK. It's vile stuff.

You just can't take your skunk - admit it! ;-) Skunk is great fun in moderation imho. And B&H ciggies aren't exactly the nectar of the gods now are they?
