Quotejammingedward Not one US arena show is sold out at 18-20000 tickets because most are way overpriced at $600. The numbers speak for themselves, and I think both the band and promoters may have overestimated the amount of people willing to pay $600 for what is generally considered a regular seat. The $600 seats end at about center-court. Everything on the floor and lower bowl from midway

Like the leaked ABB tracks the versions of the known material is more energetic and spontaneous sounding. Mick seems to went everything to be a homogenus pop/rock 4 minutes.

There will be no openers. The template was set in November and the new shows will "ape" those.

If you've noticed the $600 seats end at about center court. Everything from there to the stage is Silver, Gold or Hospitality costing $1,000 and up. If these onsales follow the pattern of Newark and Brooklyn, a lot of $450 seats are going to morph into $250 seats and $600 to $450. You couldn't give away an extra after the Brooklyn show was added. I know. I tried.

"If you had to guess, would you expect to see similar sets to the 2012 shows? " It'll be more like the 2012 shows than not. That's how the 'Stones roll.

So, are we to assume that since the links to the $85 specials remain open that the gods will release some more from time to time? I keep checking for Chicago. Hope springs eternal.

... this WILL be the last time because they're old and because you can't go back to the well again with ticket prices like these. For all intents and purposes it's all over now - or will be after this Summer. If this proves to be the case it's interesting to ponder the legacy of the Rolling Stones. For what will they be remembered most in time immemorial? For folks like us,

It's amazing the vile, abject hatred flaunted by those who would deign to be our moral and intellectual superiors via their enlightened, progressive and (ahem) tolerant world view. You can always depend on it when a Righty goes to their reward. Want fries with that Supersized hypocrisy?

....in lieu of yet another version of "Midnight Rambler" (albeit w/ Mick Taylor) why not do "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" in that spot? Bobby could play his sax part. Mick could (please) forgo his harp solo and Mick Taylor could do that hoodoo only he can do. Ron and Keith could WEAVE the Keith parts. Imagine the potential! Just a thought. :-)

Eighteen dates in the States. Nine have been announced with plenty of time before and after each to add a second show in the same venue. Every market announced can easily support a second show and every city is an easy point of destination. I'm pretty sure it's that simple.

Eighteen shows. Nine cities have been announced. There are open dates, before or after, every show that has been announced so a second date can be added. 9 cities x 2 shows each = 18 shows. No other American cities will announced. NYC got theirs last December. The addition of the Barclay Center show there was too much for the market hence we'll see two shows per town at a slightly lower outr

I saw the third night of the current tour a couple weeks back. Bob's in his best form of the modern (2006 til now) touring era. He's shaking up the set-list albeit ever so slightly.

The original European pressings were always alleged to be superior to later American ones. I always found them scratchy and full of static, however.

Quotesundevil i was at slane. not great but upper 50's with light rain, which did stop for the stones. the wind messing with the sound was worse. plus, the walk into slane was ridiculous. easily two miles on a mud path in the woods. and that's not counting the two mile trek from where the buses parked to the front entrance gate. with people everywhere stepping to the side of the road to

Quotebaxlap I'm sure they've played in worse conditions, but those at Jack Kent Cooke Stadium (now FedEx Field) in Landover, MD 10/23/97 were pretty bad. It was 45 degrees and windy. Keef and Woody were wearing coats! I was on the floor, where it wasn't so bad. But friends of mine in the upper deck said it was way too chilly for a concert. Still, Let It Bleed on the B-stag

Quotevoodoopug CHICAGO (2006) by far! I was at this show in full ski gear, it was absolutely miserable that night. It was so cold, I have no idea how Keith and Ronnie played their guitars It was the one and only time where I couldn't wait for the show to be over as I was frozen to the core. Suprisingly, the guys played a great show. It was the first time "She was Hot" was play

QuoteDan QuoteR Man, Grace is a bitter old hag. Do you think, for a moment, that if there were actually a demand for her appearances she wouldn't be on stage in a heartbeat? Idiot. She retired. There was never any drop in demand. Anything with Grace Slick on vocals would do quite well, probably better than painting. Really? The last time I saw Grace she was in the '80s version

Quotedeadegad QuoteR If high taxes beget fundamental changes in music and art, we are headed for the second Renaissance here in the States. Maybe not. It oculd be the opposite of a Renaissance like the Lyp-Synching to music cited in the article in order to avoid the taxes. The higher taxes could me a deline in quality: Say less Downton Abbey and More JeresyShore-Kardashians? It should not

An amusing story from last November's Barclay Center Stones show. The ticket cost me $500 + airfare so I was damned if I was going to spend another $40 on my umpteenth Stones shirt. After the show my buddy Tim (a seasoned New Yorker) and I were walking back to the subway when a guy popped up selling boot shirts proclaiming, "Show shirts just $20 - they're $40 inside!" I ask

I often prefer boot shirts because they aren't as slick, seem more "rock and roll" and are obviously cheaper. I went to Bob Seger last week. Spent $35 in the show for a very cool shirt and another $10 outside for one I liked just as much.

Quotetreaclefingers tickets are expensive because we don't know what to do with our discretionary income. Giving it to underprivileged children is a luxury we can't afford though. Is anybody stopping you from giving your discretionary income to poor kids? Anybody at all or are you free to do so to your heart's content? And if you are free to do so, do you do so?
