QuoteDoomandGloom QuoteAngus MacBagpipe Quoteslew I saw him at Gilette Stadium and I am going to Hartford end of this month. Thankfully he stayed off politics and focused all on music it was a fantastic show. If I agree or disagree with Bruce or anyone else I pay my money to see listen to music and have a good time I can make up my mind without the help of Bruce Springsteen or any other celebri

"Message To The Rolling Stones: Fans Want New Songs/Album!" Remember the last time (if ever you did) make a demand of your Grandpa or Grandma in such a fashion? Remember where they told you to go?

Quotetatters The thing that sticks in my mind about being a 9-year-old Beatles fan in 1968 is how ancient the records from 1964 seemed to me even then. EXACTLY!

I am nearly 56. I remember older kids (teens) being into "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and the mop-top haircuts and my Dad hating them circa '64-'65. Later, when I was ten, I received a portable cassette recorder for Christmas along with a cassette copy of Sgt. Pepper. I was not yet into music, much, so I was unsure from the appearance if it was a Beatles album or something else. I

I treated myself to all of their albums on 200g vinyl a few years back. This after having beat up used copies for ages. To me they are kind of a countrified Velvet Underground. Passionate in their minimalism.

Moonlight Mile is no small way a masterpiece because of Mick Taylor.Did he get any additional recompense? Any credit, really? Within three years he would be tired of being used and abused.

I have lived around Detroit for 55 years. I can honestly say that neither I, or any of my music geek friends, had ever heard of this guy until recently.

A marvelous band. Johnny Cash meets Slayer. Very cool. They just recruited the guitarist from ANTHRAX.

I found this record too generic sounding. Might as well listen to the originals. Of course if it was all arty and cocked up, like a T-Bone Burnett production, I wouldn't like that either.

Quoteuhbuhgullayew QuoteR Here's a truly viable, single CD live collection culled from the five 50th shows. It takes some liberties with the running order near the end to make for an entertaining MASS-MARKET musical product - as opposed to a souvenir for 9,000 folks (one in every ten who saw a 50th show). Note: it eliminates the warhorses. 1. Get Off Of My Cloud (Brooklyn) 2. I Wanna Be

At least it's a real photo, pulled from a neg, as opposed to a printed "lithograph" like the ones they sell for crazy money on rollingstones.com.

Sadly, her albums don't hold a candle to her stunning live performances. I don't think the record company knows how to pigeonhole her so they've been all over the place with her. From teenybopper stuff to hippie rock to ACR.

QuoteT&A geils opened for some of the '81 usa shows too. they were hot on the charts that year with three big hits from the centerfold album.... I saw them open for the Stones in '75 along with Tower of Power and the Meters. It was quite a day.

Quotebitman it depends how rare and what size they are. the smaller ones tend to fetch less because most of them are not wearable. i bet i could afford them, but i probably already have them. i've dropped hundreds on shirts in the past. have any pictures? I have never been able to post pictures to this site, either because I use a Mac or operator error - or both. >>> The &#

I'm guessing Mick and Keith are equally addicted to the roar of the crowd and on stage is the only place they are happy together. Anywhere else it's understandable that they might not care for each other.

QuoteGreen Lady We haven't seen the 2013 stage yet and already we know it needs a makeover....this must be a record even for iorr. It's a safe bet that, if there are any shows in 2013, the stage will be the same. They've already invested in it and not everybody has seen it who could potentially do so. That's how the Stones roll.

I'v had this record for about ten days and I can't stand it. Musselwhite's harp parts are obviously (and clumsily) dropped in after-the-fact. Sometimes it sounds like they are playing in different keys and time signatures. Harper's faux-roots style is intentionally clumsy and grungy while Musselwhite sounds like he did the best he could, playing cleanly through an amp to a liv

Nicaruguan Relief Benefit, Hawaii, '73. Quite possibly Jagger's best-ever hair cut.

My thoughts on Jackson Browne are that he is a tedious boor who had two wives commi suicide on him and apparently was highly abusive to other women. What a class act.

It's a great place and very friendly. No attitude. The first time my wife and I went Bernard came in but didn't perform. The original Rolling Stones Fan Club of Italy was a hoot, however.

I have originals I purchased in '75 and '78. They were mediums but appear small by today's standards. I don't think Bitman could afford them.

Ain't gonna be no tour. They're too damned old. Residencies in major markets like they just did in London and New York is the likely business model from here on out - until the inevitable. You are all correct that they have the 50th Shows all dialed in, staged, etc. THAT's what they'll cart around to the residencies.
