"save for suggesting a system reboot. Have you tried that? " Sadly yes. It plays fine on a friend's SONY.

"The 4 Reels one is great! " That's the one but I assume it's a clone. I played it this AM with NO problem on my MAc (OSX) then tried it again a little while later and it won't even acknowledge there's a disc in the damned machine! EEERRRGGHH!

...just got this on DVD and it is NICE! Sounds great and while the pictures are still grainy and a bit washed out, it looks far better than any prior video version. I'm trying to figure how to copy it to iDVD. Suggestions w/be appreciated.

I do it the old fashioned way with a patch cord from my computor to a mini-disc recorder OR I hook up the DVD as a component in my audio system and record the sound to mini-disc that way. Then I burn audio discs from that. This gives me the added advantage of editing excess time between track and ultimately creating a more "exciting listen." There can be as much as a minute of crowd

His playing had character then. He's just been Keith's foil since 1975.

It isn't Clear Channel. Clear Channel may be a partner on tours (their legion of former regional promoters provide logistical assistance in North America and no doubt CC is an investor). Cohl dreams up a new corporate moniker to go with each tour (be it U2, Stones, Floyd) which makes him/them harder to track down. Suggest you contact them thru Stones PR which I believe is still handled

" I've figured it out--this show, as I've heard from "Handsome Girls", would've been great if the band had played a few smaller venues, as they did in 2002-03." The best shows WERE played in small 4000 seat theaters. Detroit and Passaic being prime examples. They tried to carry that "intimacy" to the stadiums and it, by and large, fell flat.

" It´s somehow strange with the 78 tour. Not often mentioned in Stones books, not mentioned in the 25x5 documentary and other Stones documentarys. It´s like a ´lost tour", or something." It was "lost" in many respects. Some of the stadium shows were just horrible. The band's descent, full tilt, into the cocaine fashion of the era likely played a big role. Even Jag

" AC/DC Toronto 2003... They were so good that it was very difficult for the Stones (tired) to play after them..." Gosh yes what was I thinking? The Isley Bros., AC/DC, The Guess Who, even Rush. I'm loathe to admit it hre but the Stones were anticlimactic that day.

Best: Buddy Guy in Chicago, 1998. Worst: Counting Crows. Whatzhisname was an @#$%& bitching about how "hard it was to get up for the show." It was the biggest crowd they'd ever played for at that point (summer 1994).

They gave that stage to Mick Taylor as part of his severance package. He lives under it.

" Overall this is fantastic news for all Stones fans - just a pity they will not switch continents for once & start in Europe then head for America. " This has been their successful MO for decades (78 being the exception). They recoup their production investment in the States and the rest of the world is gravy.

" Sorry, what is botox for?? Some hair procedure? LOL. No he uses a weave to get that hair - but that's another story. Botox is a sort of geletanous toxin (really) that people inject under their skin to smooth out wrinkles and such. Keith apparently had it done before LICKS which is what gave him that appearance of having a big square lump in his forehead.

Keith had botox in his forehead on the last tour. It's what made him appear more ghoulish than usual. I attended the Detroit show w/ a plastic surgeon friend of mine who was 99.9% sure when he saw Keith and 100% sure when he saw the ROLLING STONE and FORTUNE magazine covers from that fall. This may be laughably unneccessary, but if true at least they are taking 2005 seriously.

They've been ahead of the curve pricewise since 1969. People were bitching then when they were charged $5-$6. I paid $10 for my first show in '75 and THAT was about $2-$3 higher than the norm. We'll be looking at $125 for the seats that cost $95 last time, $195 for what had been $150 and $400 for the prime.

Somewhere there is a web-site that has reproductions of the ACTUAL set lists the Stones and crew worked from on the LICKS tour. They are a computer print out that shows the song title, the key it's in, beats per minute and detailia like if there is or is not horns, etc. Can somebody point me in the right direction please? (And yes I'll be really embarassed if it's within IORR

I was at that show. They of course had PA banks set up every 1/8th mile or so but the sound mix was absolutely incredible - especially given the massive area there. As I recall they did capture the essence of that sound on the DVD as well.

Adam Sandler singing "Werewolves'"? Does he sing as badly as performs comedy? Did he sing it in that idiotic baby voice? I'm just waiting for the French to deem him a genious like they did Jerry Lewis.
