Jeremy Spencer's first LP had all of Fleetwood Mac playing it. The Syd Barrett solo LP's have a lot of Pink Floyd on it.

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Thanks for saying so Drake I guess I just been around to long and have seen waaaaaaaaaaaay too many couples break up (from close friends to famous people whom I dont know) and it is always too frequently the same damned crap. One of them feels hurt and betrayed and they decide to chuck all the good will, and good times, out the window and start talking sht about the

I suppose Bigger Bang is the one I like best. Still not an era I pay much attention to. Actually the following are my least favorite Stones studio albums. Bigger Bang 6/10 Emotional Resuce 5/10 Vodoo Lounge 5/10 Undercover 4/10 Steel Wheels 3/10 Bridges (too modern and I'm not a Keith ballad fan past the seventies)2.5/10. Dirty Work 2/10

I don't see Bill as bitter or unhappy. I think he just calls it like he sees it. Even Brian, who he was closest to, doesn't get a whitewash when he writes or speaks about him. I have seen him praise the band when he felt they were musically good or personally kind.

Keith was MUCH different before the 80's.

Quote24FPS Quotemikeeder I too would love a chance to hear the uncut Stones interviews for Crossfire but I feel it did a good job overall of putting their best years in context. It's the real fans who got taken. We thought it was the in depth story of the group and in the end they sort of skimmed over things with mostly video we've seen before, or just bought with Charlie Is My Darli

Wow hard to imagine that newer footage making somebody a fanatic. No offense of course, but though I've seen plenty of it, I haven't watched the Stones past 1982 in years except maybe a video or a short clip.

I liked the deluxe set OK but yeah I've heard better sounding boots than the unreleased stuff. On vinyl too! I do wish the vinyl set also was this deluxe version so I didn't have to buy both to keep my Stones record collection as extensive as possible.

Great pictures. Funny how clean cut Keith was up through Satanic Majesties. By Beggers he's becoming "Keith". Brian looks so involved during the 1966 photos. Even in 1967. By 1968 you can tell he's not as interested. Especally in the post May photos.

I can't remember if she was talking about Brian or Mick Taylor but I think she was around from 1967-82 so it could apply to all of them in general. Bill's books aren't flawless but I like them because they have a real world approch to them. No myths just the story of a band. I too would love a chance to hear the uncut Stones interviews for Crossfire but I feel it did a good j

Sure Keith played to his rebel image after the 1967 bust gave him one, but I find it wasn't until 1979-80 that the posing took over.

I like the three from 1965-66 best. I also like Nashville Skyline and New Morning quite a bit. Those would be the five but the 1974-76 period is great, and his songwriting and music since Time Out Of Mind has been overall impressive. After 1976 though I don't like his voice much, but I actually do think it was really cool up to 1977.

Well the Stones with Brian, Mick Taylor, and Ron Wood all have different sounds. I would say the most experimentation went on with Brian, but many of their biggest hits were from then.Beggers Banquet gave them a new sound that they still draw on, and Let It Bleed confirmed them as going more hard rock. Their lyrics were always frank, but I feel they weren't really obviously as dark.

So much debate. Maybe I will try to put it a different way. I think they were the best blues based hard rock band from 1968-78, but once they catagorized themselves as a hard rock band there were less things coming out of left field. I do give them props for getting so deep into reggae in the seventies. Yet 1963-67 each year felt very different and unexpected. They weren't set on one sou

As difficult as he could be, I do feel Brian didn't get a fair shake in life. Now people know that grass is less lethal than booze, or the legal stuff Brian got. Had he not been in fear to do grass as opposed to the other stuff I think he wouldn't have had such a fearsome decline. I think he could have continued being a productive Rolling Stone, despite Anita and Keith. Maybe the situat

Reread the book, and his stories jibe fairly much with what is pretty common knowledge. Of course the parts where he wasn't there aren't all that great, but nothing he says rings false. He seems so much brighter than I thought he would be. I think he pretty much nails Tom Keylock in the book for what he was, though he never mentions him by name. Seems to have liked Brian a lot despite h

Again I love the music from 1968-78, especally the "big four", but I happen to like all that came before better. I like seventies music, but my big love is fifties and sixties.

Well I like the records of the early period. Brian is a one of a kind to me. Someone who really broke the mold as far as what he brought to the table. Actually I think the whole group was better before they took on the role of "outlaws" so to speak. I like the 1968-72 records a lot, but I like the band through "We Love You" best. "Satanic" is half great, and I wou

This has three LP's, two CD's and a DVD of the Stones Leeds 1982 show. It is sealed. Please contact me at edermike@msn.com. I will trade for other rare vinyl or DVD footage, otherwise make me a reasonable offer.

Just got a Hot Rocks with the alternates. It's VG- maybe a touch better, but I personally had never heard these versions so it was very cool. Plays good enough to enjoy at least.
