The Olympia show counts i guess, although it was not multi track it was recorded for broadcast. I'd rather see the official release of something we don't have. I'm gonna keep bringing up that radio luxembourg acetate until the bands internet spies sort it out.

Bill's Radio Luxembourg acetate - studio recorded 14 (ish) songs from early 1964 with the classic line-up playing their early stage favourites including some otherwise unissued songs. It's a no brainer = none of the tracks have slipped out. I think we've got all the bbc sessions that survive unless the Bernie Andrews tapes or world service archives hold any surprises, Radio luxem

I agree with you His Majesty. I was not impressed by Terry's previous efforts. There's a big difference between writing a gossipy pop star biography and investigating a possible true criminal miscarriage/error of justice. If there is evidence (i mean real forensic,eye-witness testimony, documentation or similar) that a miscarriage of justice or error of the law has taken place now or th

Can't see the 2013 edition listed on amazon yet. Will it be available for kindle? Do you have any other links you can post ? I hope you are correct about the forensic route, police reports and identifying the other builders etc. While i am inclined to believe BJ was murdered i have yet to read a book or article that has anything like hard evidence, simply a cast of shady characters, stoners

Well of course us Beatle fans are far more open minded and generous than Stones fans. After all one of our guys got you a record deal and 2 others gave you a hit record and the 4th one kept his nose out of it

Yep i meant no choir. Anywhere. No choir on intro or outro. Or the bit in between the intro and the outro.

Nah that's the drummer from The Shaggs. Man she's really let herself go but she can still rock all night when she wants to.

Funny how over here everyone's going "yeah go see him, great setlist awesome,he's ace, great banter" but if you go to a hardcore Beatle site (the equivalent of iorr) they generally complain about the warhorses and other aspects of his song selection, ticket prices, banter always the same, whether he should retire,he's really lost it now, whether he should get Mick Taylor ba

That clip is priceless. There's another one (i forget which show) of a young Jimmy Page. Says he wants to be an alchemist. (just joking, he says scientist i think)

If you haven't seen him he's well worth it. Plays a great show despite the cheesy banter but that's part of his style. He's also quite thoughtful for those who have consumed too much liquid by playing ob la di, long and winding road and a couple of others which allow you time to get to the toilet without missing anything important. I've seen him twice in recent years and

I'm in the minority (maybe even of 1) but i don't like the choir on the studio cut. Wish it was available without somewhere coz it's a fantastic record but the choir just makes me cringe and it's a shame coz the band is smokin' underneath them.

QuoteBig Al Quoteblivet As far as I know the only recording of any song written by Brian is that Rice Krispies jingle, which is OK but hardly a pop masterpiece (and suspiciously "co-written" by the ad agency). I've asked before without response, but does anyone recall one of Brian's contributions being recorded and subsequently ending up on an acetate of out-take-samples?

I'm more angry they're not following up the Michael Hastings story. Some of it is conspiracy rubbish but some of it is extremely worrying. Only Kimberly Dvorak at San Diego 6 is doing any work on this (unless you count the rabid Alex Jones and i'd rather not).

QuoteAquamarine Set list, no, except they did Have You Seen Your Mother Baby, which had come out that day (or close), Paint It Black, and the usual faves (Satisfaction, etc.). The gig itself I remember vividly (including what I wore--black turtleneck)--warm-up bands included the Yardbirds and Ike and Tina Turner, then when the Stones came on we all stood on our seats and screamed. I remember wh

Quoteblivet QuoteThrylan Another thing that works against the "freeze out" conspiracy, is there are no Brian boots. Keith has indicated that he never brought a product they could try to produce. Bill wrote very little at the time, But he gets a song and a vocal, and there are a couple Bill penned boots. As far as I know the only recording of any song written by Brian is that Rice Kris

Quotekeefriffhard4life Quoteash I saw the Jim Jones Revue in Bristol UK last year. My ears were ringing for 3 days. I began to get worried on day 3 but luckily i have escaped any damage. BTW it was one of the best gigs i've ever seen. I've been a musician for 30 years. I rarely use headphones because of a previous bout of temporary tinnitus many years ago. Out of phase speakers for me.

QuoteHis Majesty There is a small group of Brian Jones fans that think the credits on Let It Bleed are not true, that Brian plays on it a lot more than credited. It is my opinion that those people are just very deluded. These same people tend to have further conspiracy like thinking about credits for a whole number of songs. I still maintain that had Brian contributed good things that worke

check out the thread "Rolling Stones manager reflects". One of their early road managers talks about his experiences working with the band in the early days - yet another person saying how unpleasant Brian Jones was.
