Fantastic record - the true follow up to have you seen your mother baby. In your face darkness and cacophony plus the best backing vocals on a stones 45. It's not unlike Tomorrow never knows and that's a good thing in my book. If they do tour again they should do this song and get Mccartney up on stage with them on backing vox.

He also had a hand in writing The Goon Show occasionally. A truly great British comedic talent.

This is a brilliant album (obviously) and though my favourite era is 1964 to 68 i don't think the band made a really truly great album until Beggars Banquet which remains my personal choice for best Stones album. I have 2 very big problems with Let It Bleed which i'm sure many here will disagree with. 1/ i don't like Merry Clayton's vox on Gimme Shelter. I'm not suggest

Even though i am afflicted with the mania i can think of nothing positive to say about Extra Texture other than i cannot imagine a time when i will give it a third listen. The first two listens were years apart and i seem to recall thinking on second listen oh yeah it is as bad as i remember. The fact that i have worn the ends of my fingers down a bit more by typing this much about this awful alb

Hank Marvin Bruce Welch Robyn Hitchcock Alan Davies/Kimberley Rew Peter Green and Danny Kirwan Can't believe it took till page 2 for someone to mention Green and Kirwan. Those guys seem to be close to forgotten. Everyone here should check out the Boston Tea Party tapes from 1970 (esp Rattlesnake Shake) and any live Fleetwood Mac performances from 1969 to May 1970. The Mac are unbelieva
