QuotePalace Revolution 2000 I don't see it that Charlie swings more since he started omitting that hi-hat hit. Quite the opposite. what came with it was more of a sense of mechanical playing. What I so love about Charlie's drumming right around '69 e.g is the extra contact the snare gets from the military grip; that bouncing, stuttering in between the major beats - that swings. T

QuoteSleepy City QuoteThommie Haven't seen this before: Backstage from Albert Hall. ´"Singing" the Beatles I Feel Fine. It's not from backstage at The Albert Hall, it's from 'Charlie Is My Darling' (filmed in Northern Ireland during late 1965). 1.16 - 1.34 min is actually backstage at the Albert Hall

QuoteBlue Well, what came to mind were the interviews with the Stones from Denmark in '65 and The Montreal interview with the Stones in the same year. The Montreal interview was posted recently here. The Denmark '65 I found on the Internet.. Most likely posted here before. Just a little bit more of Brian being interviewed:

QuoteMathijs Quoteretired_dog Although the surfacing of this short clip is already a small sensation, the question at stake is whether this is everything that's existing or if there's more, probably even the complete show as the YouTube clip mentions "sample" - the latter would be a major sensation! There's color footage of Around and Around, overdubbed sound though. Th

"Rock and Roll" by The Mops (1970). Not that shocking, this title, but when these rockers from Japan sing "Lock and Loll", i can't stop smiling It's a pity this tune isn't on youtube. Here are the Mops from Japan, to illustrate that these guys sounded very good...

I'm a fan of Tim and his band, and saw the broadcast. I think the chorus ("Stay With Me..." ) is a little bit dull, and not at all Exile. Also that strange hi-hat pattern (the verses), don't get it. But the combination with these black girls was very nice!

Anyway here is what I am listening to/watching today. Be ready for a rhythmic mind blower...this is sweet, just one acoustic guitar....I hope Rockman gets it too since he has been so good at posting killer stuff from you tube. peace. There are lots of guitarists that can do 'tricks', but mostly they play without feeling or taste (well, that's a matter of taste)...but this
