Albert King did a very cool "Honky Tonk Women" but I couldn't find it.

Johnny Winter had a few EXCELLENT Stones covers.

His version of Silver Train surpasses the Stones'.

I wasn't familiar with Ryder's work, but this weekend I 'discovered' this one, I like the heavy guitars...

Just for you SwayStones, I've made this video which is unquestionably the worst cover version of any Jagger-Richard song mainly because it's easily the worst song they ever wrote!

Give Me Your Hand – Teddy Green (Piccadilly 7N 35173, March 20 1964)

The story goes that this song was originally offered to the Beatles by way of thanks for them giving “I Wanna Be Your Man” to the Stones for their second single. Apparently the Beatles said that they’d record it if the Stones recorded another one of their songs, namely “One After 909”. Neither band took up the offer and it’s something of a mystery how “Give Me Your Hand” should turn up as the ‘b’ side to song called “Alone” by an obscure singer who had played a bit part in two Cliff Richard movies, “The Young Ones” and “Summer Holiday”.
The song itself is obviously an “answer” to “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and is, without doubt, one of the worst songs that Mick and Keith ever wrote and Teddy’s performance is suitably excruciatingly awful!
It’s no wonder that it never formed part of the Beatles’ repertoire!
Nobody bought the record.
Teddy Green went on to become a successful choreographer.

"As we say in England, it can get a bit trainspottery"

Here's one that polarises Stones' fans.

This may not be in everyone's taste but I like the energy of this version recorded in 1982. Ebba Grön was a Swedish punk band who rather paid tribute to Rolling Stones than the Ramones.

And Alex Chilton's cover of Jumpin' Jack Flash from 1970 is another favorite:

And the worst? There are so many bad covers out there. I just try to forget.
