QuoteYazid Manou QuoteSacke That snare doesn't sound 1969/1970 to me.... And yet it is ! YM What I meant was that it IS a 1969/1970 snare...but it doesn't sound like one. It sounds like a modern snare. I never listen to the Brussels Affair (Bob Clearmountain mix), because of that snare...also too modern sounding (to my ears).

Quotekowalski Quotefrankotero I have a feeling most of us still prefer the bootleg version. After all we grew up with it. To be honest this new version hasn't been in my CD Player that much. Actually I've played the re-issue GYYYO more. The bootleg version sounds better. The drums sound isn't right on the official version. This said, it remains the best release of the bootleg ser

Quotealimente QuoteTops QuotetheBlockbuster It's a very overrated album, which I rarely listen to. However I still think it's a decent document of the time and it has the best album cover of any Stones record. QuoteHis Majesty So, essentially, Brian would have received some song writing credits had he been in a band whose main song writers weren't so greedy and protective of credits. >< So do Beatles 'fans' also write about Ringo not getting songwriting credits? And call therefore Paul en John 'greedy'? Ringo made major contributions to Lennon/McCartney songs....

QuotePoetry QuoteSacke Since Clapton started playing Fender, I lost interest. I think his playing changed a lot by then (1969/1970). See Clapton's playing on the Blind Faith Hyde Park 1969 dvd (Fender). Recently I found a Derek & The Dominos recording at the Marquee 1970 on youtube, where Clapton played his Les Paul....and he is on fire! Don't think Clapton played a lot Gibson w
