It's because of the high quantity (though certainly not quality) off-topic messages that I sometimes disappear from here for a few weeks / months, as well the same old on-topic subjects cropping up again & again (how many more threads do we need on Keith's book, Mick's Super Heavy project & the fact that the RS will / won't / might tour again?).

I agree. This thing needs to change. Not only the forums. First of all "the powers" that be on this board, or should I say "censors", who, if they don't like your thread, delete it. Or if you come across the wrong way, put out a disclaimer saying to "clean up your act", or else....maybe this BV character needs to go? How bout that for a "forum"?

Yes, there are a lot of Beatles and other band OT topics, but even though this is a Stones site, it is hard to ignore the Beatles and other bands who were their contemporaries, especially when there is such a scarcity of Stones news.

i've seen plenty of other message boards that are dedicated to a single artist and they have a section for discussion related to that artist and then also a separate off-topic section. i don't know why bv doesn't incorporate that idea. is he worried that the off-topic section will be more popular than the stones section?
