Don't have AMEX, but tried TM anyway. I missed all the pre-sale for UK and USA last time because I was travelling, so experiencing for the first time now. Looks like Brooklyn is only selling to people with a billing address in USA or Canada. I live in UK, no use to me. I actually feel physically sick seeing all the premium options on offer, and they are all hyper-inflated crap. Brussel

QuoteWeLoveToPlayTheBlues QuoteRoom1009 My two cents upon first listen. It has a JJF intro, and a YGMR weave throughout. This song? One More Shot? You must be listening to something else. Same one, that's how I hear it.

My two cents upon first listen. It has a JJF intro, and a YGMR weave throughout. The former could save it, the latter helps to destroy it. The toy piano piece and couldn't-be-bothered lyrics finish it off. Thankfully it only last 3 minutes. Send it back to the factory, this is crap.

QuoteGazza Quotethunderball I have just had Sky installed and am not sure how PPV works. I am based in the UK and will be out for the count at 2am. Do Sky give you the opportunity to record it and watch it at a more convenient time? I am tempted to watch it but they seem to release the PPV's as the official DVD which I will end up buying anyway. Yeah, you'll be able to record it and

QuoteGazza Quotemickschix Gazza, are you getting married, again? What am I missing here!? And by the way, do you still think they'll play the 2 Borrklyn NY gigs? Glasses, Debra! Room 1009 is getting married, not me...LOL There will be two shows in the New York area too - yes. Although that Newark rumour may have some credibility. I'm not honestly sure of the venue or dates but it s

QuoteGazza The Stones wont be playing the 02 when youre on honeymoon. OK, I'm subscribed to the theory that if they are playing the o2 this year it will be on one or more of these dates: 25, 27, 29 November. That is 7 weeks from now. If they leave the announcement to the film thingy that will be 6 weeks notice. It's still enough time for folks to plan a trip, not totally unreasonab

QuoteGazza Quoteangee I'm not sure what the exact plans are for the NY/NJ area shows - although two nights in December seems to still be the time frame - but the window of availability for the 02 dates should by now be pretty much staring everyone in the face. I shall take the Gazza challenge. A quick dink to the o2 site reveals the following gaps: 31/10 - 4/11 18-11 - 21/11 7/12 - 10/1

- Doxa Well, yes and no... Why not skip Tumblin' Dice and rest on Rock Me Baby, where there are long solo breaks as well? I dunno... Skip Tumblin Dice, are you nuts? That and Brown Sugar are the anthems, the whole tent would fall down if either of those tunes were axed

Quotetatters QuoteSend It To me could this cover be construed as racist? i know (i hope) its not intentional, but it brings to mind offensive caricatures of African-Americans from the early 1900's. It could have been worse. It could have been a gorilla with three balls in his mouth. LOL

Quotewildwildhorses I am not a Beatles fan at all, just don`t like their sound and don`t like the whole image thing they have.all that goody good crap. But to be fair to them, that image is 50 years old and they're kinda stuck with it! They just never really challenged it (maybe apart from John) and it now defines them.

Am I the only one to wonder if this is true or not. We're in September, there's no confirmation and they expect to shift tour tickets only 2 months in advance? I'm in a good spot, I live in London and can/will travel to NY at short notice. But I don't think I am typical of all fans in that respect. Too bad for many fans who won't be able to pull a trip togther at short

The Beatles do nothing for me, I usually cringe when I hear them and always change channel if they come on. There's undoubtedly some good stuff, but I have a loathing that is now too ingrained for me to take a peek. We're lucky to have the Stones. They still record, tour and do projects, which makes them more interesting.

QuoteBig Al 'Cockney' used to be spoken by those from the East End of London - anyone burn with ear-shot of the Bow Bells, if you want to get technical. Go to Bow now and you'll more likely come across a burka than someone getting 'Oliver Twist or 'having a bubble bath' Actually the Bow Bells are not in Bow, but on Cheapside (in the City) at St Mary le Bow church

I suppose John McEnroe playing bass with the Pretenders at MSG (2002?) was a "fond" moment, but hardly a highlight. Bon Jovi in the belting rain at Longchamps, Paris (1995) is certainly my wettest support band memory

What is your favourite support band memories from a Stones gig? I have 2 that ended up defining a tour more than the Stones themselves: 1. Sheryl Crow: if it makes you happy - reminds me of those UK shows on B2B tour in 1999, almost the last days when you had to turn up really early if you wanted to be on the front row 2. Starsailor: silence is easy - brings back happy memories of a fantast

Thanks flacnvinyl, nice insight. I thought it probably was a recent vocal. I think it compares well to DBAS which is obviously a 2010's vocal. I guess I'm surprised that I generally find Mick's 2010's vocals awful, yet somehow really enjoy NSP.

I love this song, one of the few real gems worthy of opening the vaults. But, I'm not sure whether Mick's vocals are 2010's or 1970's. Anybody know?

Hello, where has this been all my life? Not often I get surprised but I can honestly say I hadn't come across this version until 5 minutes ago. This made me stop and listen. And I loved Mick's after-song address to the crowd, "aawwwright you m** f**s..." #lovingthatsurprisesstillhappen

Next year feels about right for me, it becomes a tour for a reason rather than a reason for a tour. I was hating all that 50th golden anniversary crap anyway, hope that theme is ditched. With or without BW, MT? I'll embrace the idea most if they're back in and do the whole tour. This becomes less interesting if it is for the occasional show during the tour. It whiffs badly if it is j

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, no point getting defensive or upset by it, waste of time. In fact, I'm beginning to dislike the Stones too. The thrill has gone, I keep delisting more and more of their back catalogue because there is plenty of guff in there which i just can't stand any more. I have empathy with the 38 Special folks....
