Houses of the Holy is my favourite Zeppelin album also. Definitely in my all time top 10 records. I love all the seasonal/weather references throughout it.

still great live. He does have a few digs at his brother, but I took it as tongue in cheek.Expect a long set covering all bases.

Shocking if true. He has been there all the way through (like Ian Paice in Deep Purple). He came up with the Aerosmith name. Why are there still so many bands out there who consider there drummers to be dispensible. AC/DC were never the same without Phil Rudd. The truth will out...

Sad news to hear. UFO guitarist and keyboard player has died of a heart attack at 73. He had been with the band since 1976. Totally underrated, he was UFO's secret weapon. He topped and tailed the songs, rounded out the sound, and added beautiful melodic flourishes. He was a full member, not a sidekick or session player. And yet Nicky Hopkins comes to mind when I think of him, just for his r

This has been on non stop rotation in my car for the last fortnight. It is like a classic lost Stones album. Utterly wonderful. Check out Call on me, or Big jet plane. Honestly, hunt it down, it's a classic

What a great show.So much love. Charlie was smiling all the time. Whole band were wonderful. And those stories about Keith not being able to play anymore....Forget it. He was electrifying. If this is the last one for me (and I fear it is), they brought the house down. The Stones reminded me that beautiful music and shared experience transcend day to day drudgery. Thanks boys. Well Done.

my wonderful wife got General Admission pitch. She ended up getting some VIP Package, so we get a laminated picture or something. Apparently we get admission to the GA Pitch area before the riff Raff!! Oh, Im just "Happy" to be going. I haven't asked what she paid, but she's a keeper!

Loved the Keith documentary. What a raconteur! Talking about his mum driving the bread van during the war ; "she couldn't even drive. Ah @#$%&, here's another loaf of Hovis". I'm paraphrasing, but he was great.

As a Scot, I would like to say I was saddened by the result. I believe in Scotland within the UK, and the UK within the EU. I don't particularly like referendums. they are too binary and are a blunt conceit of democracy. take the case in Scotland, where the SNP are rampant (for many complicated reasons which include the decline of Labour as a party of the working class). Nicola Sturgeon neve

The tour had proper shape from the opening night in Glasgow. I have seen him 6 times previously in various venues around the world and in various configurations (solo, crazy horse, Booker T and the MG's). He was absolutely phenomenal in Glasgow a few weeks ago. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make in criticising the performances on the UK tour. Have you been to any of the gigs

Surprised there is no thread for this series of UK dates. Neil rolled back the years in Glasgow on the first night of his UK tour. He had a coupla hillbillys throwing corn over the stage. We were laughing and never expected the beautiful shrill voice outta nowhere. it was After the Goldrush, and Neil was in a beat up hat on a beat up stand up piano making the most beautiful music on the planet. Aerosmith 1990 in Livingston (Scotland). My brother and I had waited years to see them. we drove down to Birmingham to see them at the NEC a couple of nights before and they were awesome. They opened that show with Rats in the Cellar, and played half the song behind a giant red curtain which dropped to the floor mid song revealing the band in full flight glory. So far, so good. The Livingston gig
