I was watching a show on BBC America yesterday afternoon when there was breaking news about Charlie's passing. A man was interviewed (didn't catch the name) who told a rather sweet story about Charlie. It may be well-known, but I never heard it before. Anyway, when Charlie first joined the band he used to buy a walnut cake for both his girlfriend and his mother every Friday night. T

I read that the COVID infection rate here in the U.S. has decreased by 16%. We're most definitely not out of the woods with this thing, and now I'm very worried about the post-Super Bowl surge.

Trump coming to his senses??!! He's desperate. He's trying to save his own arse and turned his back on his supporters. They're such ignorant fools. Do you think that maybe now they'll see that Trump is nothing more than a malignant narcissistic con artist?

Trump should be removed from office and tried for treason. They are talking about invoking the 25th Amendment (which should have been done long before now), but he only has 2 weeks left and I don't even know if it could be accomplished that quickly. Trump and COVID a perfect storm of Hell. It made me sick seeing the MAGA maggots brandishing the Confederate flag in the Capitol. What a di

Well this mobility is fueling the spread unfortunately. I simply don't know the answer but when it's predicted to be the darkest winter in modern history, bar-hopping, hanging out in crowded parks and shopping malls just doesn't seem like a good idea right now. Being cooped up at home isn't an ideal situation but being on death's door on a vent isn't either.

I just don't get this defiance. An employee at Target arm was broken because he tried to enforce the mask policy. What is the big deal about wearing a mask? Not to mention the unnecessary violence, this behavior almost seems sociopathic. Just don't care. I mean I hate wearing masks. It's difficult to breathe...always feel sluggish...and it certainly isn't a fashion stateme

Yes it is a possibility that one won't be found but I trust that won't be the case. It could take a couple of years though. They're saying that we might need 2 vaccines initially and possibly yearly injections if this thing mutates.

I'm very nervous about the kids going back to school as they're not exempt from this horrid virus. Right now these cases are rare but children are presenting to the hospital with a cluster of symptoms similar to the Kowasaki's disease...think they're calling it Pediatric Systemic Inflammatory Response...and it's deadly. Up to this point it was thought that children were

I wonder if car-hopping will make more of a comeback..this is another "blast from the past". There are still a few of these places left and you really can dine out and practice social distancing at the same time. I used to this this during the summer many years ago when I was in college. Even traditional dine-in restaurants can convert to this type of service during the warmer weat

Gwyneth Paltrow's autopsy scene was awful!! The movie got pretty good reviews by being scientifically accurate.

So far...thankfully..this virus is not pandemic but who knows what will happen in the future. If you really want to be scared watch the movie Contagion. Let's hope COVID-19 is not as virulent.

They've used 2 Stones' songs already in the series. Someone's a fan. Maybe there will be more. I just read that HBO has renewed it for a third season. So much madness and mayhem...just love it!

Well Dolores is now Wyatt. Their personalities have been merged. So I guess she's both personas now. She still recalls her father and being the rancher's daughter. But she certainly is out for blood this season! All of the chaos this season is a new narrative IMO. I really don't understand how the weapons have become lethal to humans. Only the hosts could be killed by humans or

It's very difficult to follow and I find myself watching each episode several times. Never get bored. This season it's difficult figuring out Bernard's loops and memories in particular. Especially true in last night's episode. Glad Elsie is alive. I love her character!

Is anyone a fan of the series? In season one there was a very pretty orchestral version of Paint it Black...can't remember the episode offhand. And last night, season two, episode 4 they played Play with Fire. I love the series, but it's rather confusing I must admit. Good music though!!

Another interesting fact is that the first female athlete to light the cauldron was in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. That was a very interesting Olympics...very politically-charged. Well, that was the sixties for you. There was documentary on NBC yesterday afternoon which aired right before the closing ceremonies that showed old footage and discussed the history of past Olympics. It

I really enjoyed the Olympics and sad its come to an end. Watching it was a nice respite from the world and reality. From the little bit I've read online, the closing ceremony was spectacular and this Olympics was considered a success. Don't mean to be political, but I have to say I'm annoyed with the Russian Hockey Team singing their national anthem. These athletes (the OARs) w

I'm disappointed that the American female figure skaters didn't do that well in the final skate. I was hoping that Mirai Nagasu would have gotten the bronze. I knew the 2 Russian skaters (or the OARs) would get the gold and silver. Oh well...better luck in 4 years!
