I prefer this version. Not as 'muddy' sound to it.

A great show, except for Jagger's weak-assed rendering of "Bitch" confused smiley

Thanks! I can't stop listening to your Jersey Devil remaster;-) Did you remaster all 3 shows from Meadowlands? If so would you be able to upload the 3 shows seperately?

I only did the compilation, but I can do all 3 when time permits. I plan to remaster my version of Philadelphia from that tour.

Hey that would be great if you could do all 3, they are my favourite performances from that tour along with Phoenix. Do you plan to remaster that show by any chance?

You can download BOTH philly shows in SBD and AUD quality from my thread, altough i personally think the soundboard recording don´t need anymore remastering.

If i would suggest, you should rework Chorzow-1998,i allready have done mine, and the songs are in correct order, with aud tracks in between.

Another good one is Edmonton-1997.This should be "widened" i can remaster it clearer but it needs something else too.So far, your best work is Paris-76.

Thanks for the Philly SBDs. The 1981.09.26 recording has some inherent problems - feedback noises, crackles, and hisses - but your master sounds very clear. I'm posting a reworked version of it...but I'm hanging on to yours too :-)

I have the VGP-201 version of Chorzow. Where can I find your mastering of it? The VGP version sounds dull, plus it's in mono. I'll mess with it tonight. I'd like to hear yours though, maybe save me some time/effort.

Thanks! You did a really nice job EQ'ing this. I was considering doing 2 versions - 1 from scratch and 1 from your source -- but I can't get as balanced a sound as you, so I'll just use yours.

I'm tweaking the algorithms now and will run it through in a few...I'll have it up by tonight.

Hmmm, maybe if its ok for you, after you´re ready,i can still balance channels,no problem.

Edmonton-97 should be next after this,as it is ex show and a very long one.

21 Start Me Up
22 Jumping Jack Flash
23 Brown Sugar

*AUD source

Thanks to Marko for supplying the original post.

Notes:

The 2 sources were (1) mono-SBD and (2) stereo-audience. Each was processed
seperately. SBD has a 4-band stereo widener applied for simulated-stereo sound.
AUD source has a hard-limiter applied because the crowd was louder than the
music at times. Analysis of the waves WILL reveal clipping, but it's only the
crowd's yelling and clapping that was clipped in order to bring the music higher
into the mix.

Original files were retracked to correct timing errors -- the first 0.8 sec of
many songs were contained on the previous track, rather than on the song to
which it belonged.

The between-song banter was out of synch on the source, presumably because VGP
resequenced songs to include the audience source at the end, consequently some
songs were introduced out-of-order. I only moved the obvious ones where a song
was introduced by name and left all other between-song sound intact.

"Let's Spend The Night Together" has a digi-noise on the source at 1:04-1:06. I couldn't fix it without further damaging the sound.

Mastered with Izotope Ozone 4 & Stereo Tool 6.0
Final edits were done in Goldwave v5.58.

I have "Canada Dry" [VGP-206]. Should I use that source to remaster Edmonton, or is there a better one?

And thanks for suggesting the Chorzow show. I never listened to it before this project. It's a good show.

I probably have the Hendrix 3-source vibratory merge you're referring to. I used to be on the Hendrix DC hub only my nickname there was "Biggusdickus".

SBD + 2 other sources merged is LA Forum 1969.04.26 and Atlanta 1970.07.04. There are also a couple good audience merges of him like KB Halen 1970.09.03.

This show's gonna take some work. It has different sources within VGP-206 "Canada Dry". There's a mix that sounds like it's from the stage monitor -- "Satisfaction" or "IORR" for example -- then there's an over-loaded compressed mix that sounds like a broadcast -- for example "Let's Spend The Night... -- then there's a muffled mix that sounds like a slightly warped tape -- "Gimme Shelter". Plus the sources and/or sound quality changes in the middle of a song (listen to "Rock And A Hard Place").

I'm putting this one on the back-burner. This shit's supposed to be fun & this show seems more like a pain in the ass. It's never going to sound even, although there's room for improvement.
