Bullsh!t! The one who is the winner of the final deserves the cup.
I liked Holland´s playing a lot. But if you can´t beat Russia,
Russia deserves to play the next round. Portugal was just arrogant,
when the "superstars" rested in the final match against Switzerland.
Easy rules in a
tournament. The team needs to play every game, even if they are already
qualified. And, btw, the Germans were better that day!

So tonight it´s Germany-Turkey. It will be a great party here in Germany
with all the Turkish here. There are a lot of Turkish who say that they
already have one team in the final!

So my predition for the final: Germany-Russia!

A BIG respect for main characters of Euro Cup,right now, Holland and Portugal are out, and they deserve them!!
Russia crashem up with a magestic master class of football the other day and Portugal is out the same way. Turkey is there because have believe in theirselves and Germany the same, Spain we know.
So we haven´t had any, or just one or two star-players and now we have had great matches and a bunch of great players, since Euro Cup in Germany, nothing has been the same.
Today I go with Turkey because they are at priori the weakest team.

Germany's game against Portugal was a masterclass of how to beat a really good opponent by out-thinking them. Many of Portugal's players were technically better than Germany's but by playing 5-man midfield with greater attacking power they overcame them. It was a breathtaking match so I don't buy all that bullshit about Germany being machine like and boring.

They are very efficient when it comes to doing their homework and really know how to play a tournament. Italy has this same quality but usually sucks the life out of the game before hitting killer goals on the break as they did against us in the WM 2006.

Yes, Germany started slow, were so-so against Poland, terrible against Croatia and played a careful game against Austria. What do you want to do in a tournament - take big risks and get knocked out. You play a tournament to win. Germany always play better against the big teams and in the big games that count. Anyway, enough of defending them. I hope tonight's game is another cracker. Geh Jungs!

It is obvious that Turkey will be beaten by the Gerries tonight. Unfortunately I believe. Luck isn't the thing in this game. It is a matter of being capable of playing a tournament. The kicked-out countries were either too arrogant, sloppy, wrong tactics but never unlucky.

I am Dutch and believed for a second that it would finaly make sense but unfortunately we made the mistake to play in the 2nd half 4-3-3 instead of the 4-5-1 that really worked well. But I must say the Russians were all over the play and played for their country with blood, sweat and tears.

So Germany will beat Turkey for sure, since Turkey has now a new attacker (the third keeper LOL).

Russia against Spain, Je ne sais pas. I believe that Spain has more experience but allways fails wehen the going gets tough. Russia (with our fantastc coach Guus Hiddink) will win IF they can maintain the speed and the enthousiasm of the previous game. Nevertheless I see Russia and Germany "Grow" in the tournament

So from my professional point of view. Germany beats Turkey easily with 3-0.
Russia and Spain will need additional time but russia will win with 0-1.

Final will be Russia against Germany and due to their neverlasting "kamfgeist"
The germans will win this tournament

navratilova and sampras are good examples. i never liked them for the reasons you mentioned. i cant tell you, if i'd love them when they played a delightful football. i think there are too many disturbing memories in my brain:
first one: semifinal germany vs. france 1982 with that brutal keeper toni schumacher, who almost killed battiston


and then all those horrible, arrogant figures: matthäus, briegel, breme, völler, breitner, klinsmann, kahn, ballack. and i hate them for stealing maradonas 2nd tiel in italy with a penalty that wasnt one at all! and top of all: kaiser franz beckenbauer -what a narcissistic jerk. sorry silver dagger, but as i said: germany and especialy berlin and hamburg are among the places i love the most!
