why would that be the end?

I doubt he'll be on stage playing, just backstage greeting.

Come on! It's perhaps the end of stadium Tours, but not the end of touring.

Sure, believe it when it happens. Do they really still need to cash in, don't believe so ;-)

I do not see it as whining, just trying to be a bit more realistic than some people her who were dreaming of Let It Loose, Coming Down Again and loads of other great stuff, even discussing totally new setlists for the London shows!!!

remember what BV said somewhere in a different thread? something along the lines that audience doesnt want to hear "some obscure blues". ok, no more Little Red Rooster and other "obscure blues" numbers...gotta live with it *sigh*, but that does not prevent me from whining about the fact!!!

but getting people a little bit more down to earth considering "surprises" is not whining.

Unfortunately I have to agree. That's been excactly what I've been thinking for the past couple of weeks. So let's hope he's not playing, then all the optimists in this board can still believe that they still will be on the road in 10 years time :-)

Read carefully - I wrote "the 2008 tour that never was" ;-) Just trying to point the way for future whining - should they need any *lol*

Well, I was a bit quick on the tricker there. Just tired of reading of future tours, that no one knows anything about and that havn't been announced. When or if the 4 members of the Stones hold a press conference and announce a tour, I will believe it. Until that time should arrive, I don't believe anything and will treat the show tonight as the final one :-)

I must have woken up in some parallel universe where Beast Of Burden, Let It Bleed, All Down The Line and Shine A Light are all warhorses played by The Stones every night.

I'm not defending the setlists since I agree they can use some reworking but to say there have been no surprises in the first two London Shows means you haven't read the setlist or are just to stubborn to admit the truth. Was anyone expecting the songs I mentioned above?

Was anyone expecting BOB or SAL? If you say there should be three or four surprises like this every show fine but don't say there have been no surprises. The bottom line is some people just like to whine like a bunch of old grannies.

No it's not everyone that complains since some complaints are valid but some people here complain about EVERY SINGLE THING. The Stones could play an entire setlist of songs they have never played live, charge two dollars per ticket, send a limo to pick you up at your house and drive you to the show, have a lavish buffet waiting for you and you would complain because they didn't have caviar at the buffet. Unreal.

Everybody have a blast tonight. Don't let these whiners bring you down.

Well we can meet on that one. Don't want them to continue past the time where they can deliver a great show. Want them to go out with a BANG. And how do you follow a tour named a bigger bang. An even bigger bang...don't think so.
